So glad I started BG3 the past few months
Doesn’t look like I’m coming back for S2 … unless they give god tier sets to make up for our weak tankiness

First off, the threat change that all tanks have gotten is very much appreciated.
The lack of changes is very disappointing. There’s no excuse why Blizzard should be ignoring us when other tanks are getting looked at. We have under performing, and dead talents that are not picked in any circumstance, and our scaling with haste is still a meme.
HOWEVER we are NOT the weakest tank in the game, statistically speaking that is the Blood DK, as current BrM keys have reached +18’s, and we scale incredibly hard the further we go into the expansion.
The community and players perception that BrM is simply “weak” or bad or however it’s phrased needs to die.
Glad you’re enjoying BG3, it’s a great game.

So adjust as the expansion progresses. Shouldn’t just have to “wait til next year”
Blizzard has the capacity to make changes as we go. They do it often.
Not sure why you’d replied to me as nothing I stated infers what you said. Like no crap they should make adjustments.
“We scale incredibly hard…”
Ok . So I found the new Tier Sets for Brews. This sounds very good. Too good actually. I see it getting nerfed.
Monk
Brewmaster
(2) Set Bonus: Each time you take damage you have a chance to activate Luck of the Draw! causing you to cast Fortifying Brew for 6 seconds. Your damage done is increased by 15% for 8 seconds after Luck of the Draw! activates.
(4) Set Bonus: When you gain Luck of the Draw!, your next 2 casts of Blackout Kick deal 150% increased damage and incur a 2 seconds reduced cooldown.
Hrmm
This set coupled with the Cinderbrew Tank trinket will go hard …

Yes because stagger is directly tied to agility gain. Blizzard should just make stagger like 80%+ flat rate and give bonuses to haste in some way. Very old requests.
Set is good, proc rate to be determined, but it’s largely something we can’t control so we don’t need to think about it. Need to see if FB proc will activate SD, because that will also be a net dps gain.
BoK CD might be annoying to play with given the extra procs of BoC might be awkward to use in our rotation.
The 11.1 2piece set bonus isn’t good. Never in WoW’s history has anything that said “chance when taking damage” been good. It might be kind of decent on us if stagger isn’t blacklisted, but historically it always has been from these effects, so it won’t be good on us either most likely. The only silver lining here is it’s equally not good for every tank, so I can see it being changed soon.

teir sets like this are good on paper but in reality just end up kinda being meh since you cant control it.
All other tanks have exact same bonus, except for its 4 seconds for them.
Our Forti brew functions a little differently from Shield Wall.
Shield Wall is a flat 40% DR.
Forti Brew (untalented) is 20% + some health(useless ish?) + stagger effectiveness
Talented is 30% DR.
Thus the difference in 2 seconds.
Passive is passive. No control over when it pops. Nor do we know the proc chances. With my luck, it will always proc on the last mob at 20% health.
Meanwhile Warriors and Paladins, who are essentially punching bags, will only get stronger and climb further away from Brews.
Yay!

It’s still the first PTR cycle. It’s unlikely the patch goes through with literally 0 changes to Brewmaster, especially with all of the negative feedback they are receiving from this initial wave. The spec, frankly, also needs less work than most people would think. It’s already fairly tanky and just needs some relatively minor changes, including adding AoE scaling and reworking/condensing Niuzao.
Prot Paladin is notoriously kind of paper right now. It’s part of why Disc is meta, as they can fill defensive gaps with Pain Sup.

Brewmaster definitely has much higher skill ceiling than any other tank. (imho)
I just want a few minor changes.
Brewmaster’s Balance 5% buff.
Keg Smash AoE increased.
Make spin-to-win great again! Or increase Charmander damage.
Buff Sissy Brew toa higher value OR rework it into Ignore Pain (or both).
Hoping they add agi daggers and let the 4piece give BoC up to 3 stacks.
As of right now it appears Monks procs more tgan the other tanks. Monk has the added bonus of being more consistent on damage taken… as long as stagger can trigger it.
This set also has potential for a lot of fun with MoH. Stacking buffs on blackout kick + making it cleave + shorter cooldown + combo strikes + tigerpalm buffs/cleave.
Only real issue is how much cdr and overall damage the current set is giving brew.
Monks currently proc their 11.1 2set more because it has 2rppm, compared to 1.5rppm for dk and dh, and 1rppm for warrior, paladin, and druid. Having extra sources of damage incoming, eg stagger, won’t really influence the proc rate since its rppm.
