Yes and this time around Blizzard is going to censor WoW to fit the Chinese. No skeletons and the Forsaken look very different. They do. ZERO bones showing and the eyes are never yellow.
The Undercity looks quite different on Chinese clients. There is a reason why the vast majority of Chinese players go out of their way to not play on Chinese servers even when it greatly inconveniences them with the connections and massive lagging problems.
Instead of playing on the servers made for them, they play on other severs made for everyone else.
That is because their own government censors what they can have. But… now it is coming over into our WoW now. If this exact same toon here were in Classic, he would have eyes, a less hunched back, no bones showing anywhere. a slightly thicker build, a very different voice and some emotes removed completely.
What I would look like in the Classic would be one giant ugly thick pale white blob that looks more like a tired male human instead of an undead. There will be no way to tell that this toon is an actual undead. It is ILLIEGAL to portray the dead there as living beings and to mock the dead there as they call it.
Every serious Asian player, not only just the Chinese, but all of them go over to US servers to play. Such as how Illidan Horde, Area 52 Horde, Tich Ally, Sarg Horde.
That’s where they go instead of playin on the actual servers made for them and that’s not a theory, it is a well known fact. But what I am saying is that their censorship is about to become our censorship.
My Undead guy is going to look like an ugly white blob. And if you think you should not be worried about a Chinses request for censorship then you are very wrong. A VERY small % of the actual citizens there like having their online activities restricted. They are not even legally allowed to use Facebook as I stated earlier. So in order to pose as American-Chinese, they type the American versions of their names which is their alternative to using ren-ren.
I would know because I am friends with many of them who have told me so. And look for yourself just how many Chinese people are on FB using their own actual names. They do not. They will type their names in ASCII instead of in their own language. That is the American Standard. The vast majority of Chinese who do not use ASCII to type their names are living in the US. And that’s just a fact.
Censorship is a big deal for them. if they say NO portrayal of death in WoW, then we will have none.
So my point being, we don’t have to make the game so that they can play it, the Chinese that I play WoW with already have systems in place to make it appear as though most of them are playing in and living in California. L.A. area. I just so happen to live in California too. But yes, they can and do reroute their I.P.s. They log into their own proxy that fools everyone into thinking they are in C.A. That is because they have an actual physical location setup here, so when they log into it, the system thinks they are actually here. Not several thousand miles away.
So no need to make the game for them when they already have a plan for playing Classic. They can fool Facebook with their logins, they can fool Google, they can fool Blizzard, they even fool the Chinese government.
