Got a new mouse which is a loigtech g600 that has multiple buttons on the side, its my first ever MMO mouse.
One thing I noticed with the logitech software is that I can keybind multiple key presses to a single input. For example I can make one button be ctrl + 1, instead of having to press the ctrl key and then the number 1.
Is this a problem/bannable? I know oldschool runescape and jagex have an issue with this, but not sure how blizzard feels
In theory, it’s bannable. In practice, they likely won’t care about a ctrl+1 keybind. However, if there is any form of logic or repeater action in the bind, that will make it bannable. And by logic, that includes things like delays of any sort.
I think it technically is but I don’t know that they would. I know I use some of these software features to bind a few buttons to help me avoid pain with my arthritis and it’s been a lifesaver to allow me to continue to enjoy wow.
Just wanted to post an update to this in case anyone else is curious. The obvious and completely legal solution is to simply use the buttons on the side and bind them to hard to reach buttons that you would normally never press on your keyboard, like = or f8 or [ or whatever else.
This makes it so you’re doing one input for one output.
