Logitech Mapping (G910) Help!

Hi all,

Logitech G910 Keyboard

So I’m having a problem where all my ‘G’ keys are simultaneously mapped to my ‘F’ keys. Example: G1 also functions as F1, vice versa. This prohibits me from mapping my G and F keys as different abilities or macros. Can anyone explain how to change this? I’ve put in countless hours trying to remap the G keys within the Logitech hub, but nothing works out.

Thank you!

Ah G Hub. Ruining quality hardware with crap software, as usual.

If the keyboard is the only Logitech peripheral you have, I’d recommend uninstalling it and getting Logitech Gaming Software 9.02 instead. Much better interface for key mapping. If you have a Logitech mouse as well, you can eschew G Hub for that in favor of Onboard Memory Manager, which let’s you adjust the key mappings/dpi/polling rate in a bare ones applet without having to go thru the normal software, and all the configs are stored in the mouse’s internal memory so you don’t have to worry about profiles not saving properly or the software deleting your profile.

If that isn’t an option, the g910 has macro recording keys built into it, so you’d press MR, then G1, then whatever key you want G1 to be, then MR again. Using this to chain keystrokes can get you banned, but a simple single-action replacement (like ,making G1 Numpad1 or Shift+F1) is fine.

You also have 3 sets of G Keys to play with like this, using the M1 M2 and M3 keys to swap between them.

For what it’s worth, I found the G keys didn’t really do much for me, and swapped to the g810 to keep the same switches and RGB in a smaller footprint.

Thanks for the response, I will keep all this in mind if I need to critique it again. However, I found the solution was to map the G1, G2, G3, G4, etc. keys to the F9, F10, F11, F12, etc. keys as those keys are so far away and I won’t ever be pressing them. This allows me to use F1-F5 and G1-G5 separately, as they are all in closer proximity to WASD.
