Logitech G604 Gaming Mouse Modifier Key Issue

I’m using macOS 10.15.7 and Logitech G HUB version: 2020.8.5950 with a Logitech G604 mouse. The key assignments work with all of the keys I need except for modifier keys (control, command, shift).

When I try to use a modifier key, the key gets toggled on until I push another modifier key. For example, if I use G9 as Control, Control will stay “pressed” until I use another modifier key like G8 bound as Command. But then Command will stay toggled on until I use G9 bound as Control. This is not workable because I can’t do other functions, like opening my bags, if Command is constantly toggled on.

Is this a known issue? Is there a fix?

I was previously running a Naga Trinity with Synapse 2 without this issue, i.e., the mouse button bound as Control worked as a modifier key. I could press the button and Control would only stay on as long as I was holding the button down. I needed a wireless mouse for my setup, and it turns out the Naga Pro cannot be configured on macOS (a fact I didn’t learn until I bought the Naga Pro and contacted Razer support because that issue is not identified anywhere on Razer’s website).

When I first installed Logitech G HUB, I still had Synapse 2 installed. I have subsequently uninstalled Synapse 2 and attempted to uninstall Logitech G HUB (it’s not easy to do), and then reinstalled Logitech G HUB. Could this be the issue?

I appreciate the help.

See the posts about CMD-Click and Command not working. The behavior of some keys in WoW have changed. You will need to update your macros to the new format.

Your mouse software is likely using macros that will no longer function with this new change. See the Blue posts in the other threads about the change.

Thanks! I am hoping this is all related and that it gets fixed soon.

I haven’t seen any posts about others experiencing this issue with the Logitech G604, so I’m not entirely convinced it’s system wide and not something wrong with my setup.

I wonder if it’s related to what I posted about the cmd key getting seemingly stuck post-cmd-click fix. I’m using my laptop’s built-in keyboard and trackpad though, not an external mouse.

Did this get fixed? I’m still having the problem where the modifier key gets stuck on.

Update: I downloaded G Hub on my old Macbook and have the same issue. The modifier keys get stuck pressed on when I have them bound to mouse keys. It doesn’t happen with Razer synapse. It must be a software issue between Wow and G Hub running on macOS.
