Login with phone number

Anyone else notice this?

Login screen now says “email or phone”.

Because that was necessary.

Don’t you guys have phones?

No but… does it matter?

Why does it matter?

Sure I do but my number is none of BLizzards business. You kiddies just let your privacy go to anyone who asks huh

Im curious as to why.

Id never use it, personally, but im not aware people log in from that screen so theyd not see it.

Guildie posted about it to discord earlier. Im curious as to why theyd do it is all.

They have our names, our credit card numbers, our… you get the idea. But we are going to draw a line about privacy over a phone number?

Are you for real right now?

You don’t have to give them your phone number if you don’t want to.

So… then don’t use your phone number?

I’m not seeing the issue here.

They dont have my CC number. I pay with other sources. They aint gettin my number either. Give your privacy away I dont care but I wont.

Do you not remember last blizzcon grandpa?

There’s no issue, conspiracy nuts are just like vegans, they have to make sure EVERYONE knows about their preferences and that the rest of us are wrong and stupid.

Well that is probably a good thing.

Highly likely we’re getting a mobile spin off pet battle game for WoW at Blizzcon.

Ever since those Warcraft Phone Cases and Chinese promotional arts were found last month.

Likely it will be on the b net launcher, which will allow you to login on your phone.

I’d play it.

They have your CC# I pay with a reloadable card … I don’t trust blizzard with info other then generic name stuff

In 15 years they have never had a data breach, but you do you.

This would make sense, but why have the login for wow set up like this?

Though id giggle if they did. I know one person thatd never play wow again as she only does for pet battles.

Yeah, I would too. I just hope they let us use the pets on our account and let us level them on that app.

That’d be preferable, though admittedly I’d likely play it regardless. Being able to level my actual pets when I am out and about (or more to the point sitting and waiting for appointments) would be quite nice.
