So, I just ran my first combat log since coming back. Warcraft logs data from the upload is not separating the bosses correcrtly, as far as I can tell. Also, I can’t see how to get your parse “rating”. Am I just doing something wrong? Used /combatlog at the beginning and again at the end. Uploaded the txt file. Doesn’t look right.
I don’t think you can parse individual bosses in m+. As far as I’m aware, your dungeon parse comes from how high the key was and how much time was left when it was completed.

I guess that would explain why wowanalyzer failed to separate boss segments from trash.
So, how else do I break down my performance if I’m trying to improve?
Growl a, high key healer, suggested that players should record themselves when they are in a dungeon and then watch your gameplay to see any mistakes you made along the way. You should also make sure to have some weakauras showing your buffs and CDs. So when you are watching your gameplay, you can see when a CD would have saved a pull or if you wasted a CD use by not popping something earlier.
for group CDs you can use:
ZenTracker (ZT) - Interrupt and Cooldown Tracker
ZT Front-End Party Icons
Make sure to read the install instructions, it’s not as simple as just importing the aura.

I don’t think I’ve plugged an m+ parse into wowanalyzer. I didn’t know that was even possible lol. I haven’t tanked in a while, but a lot of it is going to be proper cd usage. Ask your healer if you were hard to heal. That’s subjective of course, but if everyone tells you that you were hard to keep up, you need to work on that.
I’d recommend some kind of threat nameplate addon like plater. It makes it easier to tell when you have threat on everything. Obviously that’s your most important job, but repetition is the only way to improve when you’re doing keys. Check out an icyveins guide too. M+ talents are generally different than raid talents.
Thanks for the feedback. I have my cds visible. I’m using Plater with an M+ profile, and what I consider important auras. I have either auras or addons to see the duration of my cds/mitigation. I guess it would be worth it to install Trufi if I do record to make it easier to know what ability I pressed when if I’m watching it later. I already have OBS set up to be able to record, I just haven’t used it. I have tanks, heals and dps all in the same range of iLvl, so I would be interested in all of them.
