Was bored out of my mind, so bored I booted up the good old time waster wow. I thought hmmm, I kinda want a kul tiran druid, that could kill some time, and be cool and new. Then I forgot before I can play the game how I want to play it I have to:

Complete every quest ever.
Grind terrible daily quests for six years
Do boring content no one cares about
Climb a mountain

All so I can play as a fat human great game design blizzard. Maybe in warcraft 3 reforged, you can only play as a race you have logged 10000 hours as in wow. That would get people playing and make as much sense.

It sucks IK man but the grind isn’t nearly as bad as it was.

Character creation is a reward. Lawl.

WoW has fallen so far. Remember when people used to try and get other people to join the community and play the game? Now they celebrate barriers that keep new and returning players out.

I mean you can play as one of like 10 other races, or how many are there? I dunno. Point is that it’s a race, not a class. You don’t HAVE TO unlock allied races to play this game. I have them all unlocked and I’m not leveling any.

It’s been that way, yeah; death knights and demon hunters both have level requirements

Classes that start at level 58 and 98 are the same as choosing a race to level from scratch? (20)

If you want to play a new race without scummy MAU attached to it just wait for Shadowbringers or any other MMO other than WOW tbh.

The day of playing new race like Blood Elf, Worgen, Pandaren at launch is over, they wont come back.

I was so excited to make a void elf, but after spending a month unlocking them I completely lost all my motivation to make and level one.

It’s like, I wouldn’t even mind having to grind out reputation for them if it just wasn’t freaking timegated. Timegating making a character is quite literally the stupidest thing Blizzard has ever done, and how you know timegating everything has gone way too far. Feeling like you want to make a new character only to be met with a month long timegate to do so has got to be the worst feeling in any game I’ve ever played. Just let me grind it out on my own time!

I remember the good 'ol days when you didn’t have to grind mindlessly and add to the monthly time played metric to play new races. Those were the days.

I mean, yeah, that’s what they are.
