why does the log in give me a queue and then after have me choose PVP or Normal only to give me a No realms are currently available error? then push me back in the queue?

servers still not up all the way

Spontaneous Maintenance- I was playing earlier and we got a 15 min warning from the server. Give 'em time, hopefully it’s quick.

this makes sense, maybe the server is technically not up even though it is putting us through?

Same, but I got the option of hard core, pvp, rpg and normal. Then no servers available

Same, 4 options, no realms available.

This is what happens every time the server goes down. Login, pick ruleset, “no server available”. Next is login, “retrieving characters” endless loop. Finally, everything works.

My rule of thumb for a short maintenance is if there is a login queue, the server is likely not up yet.
