Lockpicking Vendor NPC Missing

Tough to find rogues sometimes and it’s an imposition, as most ignore requests. I have destroyed uncountable boxes over 20 years. It would be nice if an npc vendor was provided in a city, even if they charged a somewhat hefty price. That might perk up rogues to make some money and open them.

1- i don’t think this is a bug
2- there are crafted items you can buy to unlock them, having an npc for this would make these crafted items completely useless
3- you can probably level a rogue to 80 in a few hours with all the xp buffs going on

Why should I have to level a rogue? It’s a missing feature, and there is no place to ask for “feature requests”. I have numerous alt characters across two accounts. Requiring items to be purchased is unreasonable. However, why not allow engineers to actually make lockpicks that work? Blacksmiths can’t have everything, and make a crapload of money.

i like how you just conveniently skipped over #2 in my post
also there’s a send feedback option in-game

Re-read. Added.

erm how so

Re-read, again.

  1. We are unable to mail lockboxes across realms
  2. We cannot put them in warbound tabs
  3. It might be possible to put them in a guid tab, but then you are still faced with problems above.

At best, you may grovel for a rogue to open boxes, level rogues on every realm that you play on. That’s just silly. If you do that then it takes up significant server space as well.

If there was a vendor, then rogues would be encouraged to offer their services as a viable income source. Competition is a good thing.

pretty sure i put lockboxes in my warband bank but ok enjoy

Let me re-iterate probably the most important thing Trancezero said:

This is literally the worst place to request new features. The lack of a lockpick vendor is not a bug. It’s a feature that the developers never implemented. QA will ignore your posting.

Post in General Discussion or use the in-game feedback tool if you actually mean to try to persuade the developers of your idea, because otherwise they’ll never see it.
