Yes there is. Not everyone levels up in a couple of hours and sits at honor cap in dsy 1. These weeks allow to level at your own pace do questlines and just chill

You will complaim there is no content in day 2 of the season anyways

I’m pretty sure they just put people who don’t think ret is an F tier spec on ignore.

Also, @OP yeah it’s absolutely wild. I think it’s acceptable to turn off rated pvp for a week or two for prepatches and an expansion start, but I’d MUCH rather have them do what basically every game does where you can Q “ranked”, but there’s a big indicator that says it’s preseason and mmr/rewards won’t be obtainable.

I leveled all 15 of my characters in two days why do you make me wait so long for rated content???

Ehh, I’m kind of with the wow players on this one.

I was fine with it during preseason because they were doing a big warband conversion thing which had to rewrite the hard coding of the game pretty significantly and wanted to make sure it went smoothly and didn’t want to accidentally enable rewards to everyone (which WAS a problem with several reputations, currencies, and achievements).

But I do understand the frustration of pvpers not having a ranked option for 5-6 weeks feeling frustrated by that. Especially when there are still archaic restrictions for faction/bg Qing with horde/ally with friends.

I like solo shuffle, solo BG, i like rewards, non-rated content has no rewards, delves has no rewards

my issue is with timegated content while im paying for nothing

Are you so addicted you can’t take a two week break? You aren’t paying for nothing either it’s 50 cents a day and there’s an entire game you’re logged into outside of solo shuffle

I can’t froze my sub until real content is up which means im paying to wait.
My country is under a socialist dictatorship, money is not an easy thing here.

In all seriousness, I’d recommend picking up mining and herbing. You can get 200k in 2-3 hours depending on knowledge and some luck with null stones and herb spawns and that’s a wow token atm.

Thats a good recomendation and thats what i’m doing.

The problem is, premise of the game is to have fun after work, not to work in the game so you can pay for the game which only allows me to work while playing.

I can understand 1 week of time gated content, 2 weeks is too much.
