Ten days, plus announcements on pretty much every gaming website, including those with feeds that go directly to Discord. This is the definition of a “you” problem.

Yeah I think you’re missing the point of being able to start the game again and regroup with friends. I already attempted a transfer but had items within my mail box. If I would of known or it was made public via launcher or the in game shop screen I would of most certainly seen it and rushed to meet it.
Those who say it was on the forums are the same degenerates that make this place a trolls haven. Much like the people posting on their alts.
You think it’s “GOOD NEWS” yet it’s not. I can play, but not with friends, I cannot help them in anyway some new and some returning players. But now they are stuck on a server different from mine. And once Pre patch hits, I can’t boost or assist them with leveling.
So fast forward pre patch hits, everything is nerf’d and transfers open up.
Great now I am in outland on the same server playing alone because they couldn’t catch up in levels or end game. Not only that I cannot join a guild which I was in the works of joining once the transfer was complete, ironically they didn’t know about a dead line either, as I am sure it would of been mentioned.
Do you want to start the game again or transfer a character?

Why not? Did they say transfers will open AFTER pre-patch? Based on their wording I believe (And YOU CAN quote me) transfers will open and THEN pre-patch will launch.
What’s nerf’d with prepatch? Why are you in outland on a different server? Are they starting fresh? That’s great news, you can start fresh with them and have a great launch type experience!
P.S. I know the feeling of getting trapped. I transferred 3 characters Thursday night and for whatever reason my last character, even though the transfer order went through, the character was in process for 24 hours now Blizzard has returned him back to the original realm.
Nice I have been back for maybe two weeks, and played for barely 3-4 days in game time. Due to not having people to consistently play with and a real life. I suggest you try one.
Again I don’t live and breath warcraft but keep posting from an alt and thinking you’re cool. If anything people like you are the problem, as to why forums aren’t more commonly used. You’re a joke a troll, keep trying. But Blizzard not making it front of launcher news is truly the problem. To busy spamming it with Cold War adverts.

What I think I’m hearing you say is that Bobby should have called you at home to tell you that he’s shutting down server transfers for a couple weeks so that you and your guildmates don’t have to check out the blue tracker on Wowhead. That would be a nice feature. I would give a thumbs up to a thread asking for that.

I tried to transfer yesterday morning before they shut it down. It never went through. So now I’m stuck on a half dead server until when ever.
Blizzard didn’t tell us the reason.
That is false. Blizzard said the server transfers WILL RE-OPEN, before the patch.
They DID give us a little warning – a week or so – before the EXACT DATE of April 30. You just like to complain.
They did not give us EXACT DATES for every possible event in the future. Why should they? No other company does that, so your “act like a company should” is nonsense.
I’m pretty sure there was a notification on the character select screen about character transfers being closed starting April 30th. They also warned about this at least a week in advance, giving people plenty of time to react accordingly.
As mentioned above, this is a necessary step in order to take the snapshot for the pre-patch. You didn’t keep up with the latest news despite knowing pre-patch time is approaching, that’s unfortunate but the fault is your own. They will re-open them eventually, so you can focus on grinding gold or whatever you want to do on your main, or perhaps roll an alt on your new server.
Either way, they’re not gonna re-open server transfers just for you I’m afraid, so focus on figuring out your next move from here.
not sure but I think it’s great, stop with all the bloody moving around. The community is transferring way too much. Reroll like a man.
