Ok so there is a work around that legitimately works, but you have to have a lvl boost. I had one leftover so I figured why not go try it since you can skip the entire campaign (maw/threads of fate) and go straight to zereth mortis on a trial character. So I made a shaman which I was planning on doing anyway but on a trial lvl 60, went to oribos and joined one of the covenants and induced the skip for zereth mortis as well. I applied the lvl boost to my character directly after that, it ported me back to Orgrimmar and I went straight back to oribos and I was still with the covenant and everything was in order, nice. But yeah that sums it up unless you pay blizz more money then I guess you have to wait for 11.0.7 to see if they even fix it or just completely remove it.

Iām not in the same situation as I wasnt max level, but anyway. I started playing an old toon I hadnt played since Cata, was level 32. I got to 55 or so and wanted to do SL campaign as much as needed to make Lordearon quest available. I started the SL campaign, did intro, and got to the point you go to Bastion, did the few there until you go to the first flight point. I wasnt sure if there was some point Threads became available, but stopped there and flew back to Oribos, no Threads yet. I did a couple more TW dungeons, dinged 60, back to Oribos and I was then able to skip the SL campaign. I think I had turned off Chromie time at that point bc I was trying to figure out if that had any interaction with it.
