I’m leveling both classes but was wondering which one can solo more.
I am leveling a Dem Lock and a BM hunter so far I found them almost equal to solo elites or group quest. The only advantage that I see so far with the BM hunter it is its mobility but I really like the warlock theme.
Was wondering also which one can do Torghast better.
Warlocks have no theme anymore due to quest lines being irrelevant. Stick with the BM hunter, he will outperform the Demo Lock in all regards for solo play and make PvP ok for you as well.

Hunter is by far better in solo content. Warlock is one of the squishiest classes and our pets are squishy too depending on the content. For Torghast demo is S tier.

For damage between Warlock and BM Hunter it’ll be about on par.
For survivability also both about on par.
For utility, Lock squeaks out on top.
For mobility, Hunter hands down.

Definitely not.
Hunter utility is off the charts compared to warlock. They have:
-Tranquilizing Shot (dispell and enrage removal)
-Single target trap
-Aoe slow trap
-Aoe snare (binding shot, baseline for MM, talent for BM)
-Single target slow for kiting (concussive shot)
-Feign death
-Misdirect
-Instant cast pet heal, compared to a channeled health funnel
-Single target stun for BM
-Baseline interrupt
-Disengage
-Camouflage (which is also a decent heal)
-Short range knock back (bursting shot, MM only I think)
-Bloodlust pet
-Aspect of the Turtle is better than Unending Resolve
I’m sure there’s more I haven’t remembered off the top of my head, but hunter definitely has more utility than a warlock. Plus BM has access to a super tanky pet with Clefthooves.
I’ve played both, and hunter definitely wins out in solo play.

Good evening,
Warlock for torghast
BM for every other type of content
I have played both as mains going back and forth over the last 14 years. My advice is to keep both in viable range of a gearing spurt so you can switch quickly between tiers.
While I prefer warlock overall, it’s really a flavor choice. I can’t play a class I don’t like the flavor of no matter how mathematically in demand they are.
But it’s great fun to switch to ‘run-n-gun’ hunter dps after long sessions of shard/chaos bolt slow motion play. Do both and favor one over the other when it makes sense tactically.
Hunter is better at everything except self healing. I regret leveling a demo lock and am going back to BM if I don’t quit

Same! I left my BM Hunter at level 50 and leveled a Demo Warlock… I’m sooooo sorry I did that… And I have no desire to plow through that content again with my Hunter… So i’m letting my sub just laps. SL is a very sorry game for solo players and the most unrewarding WOW content I’ve ever played.
