Why don’t lock cookies despawn when the lock leaves the group?
There is zero reason why a group should benefit from this important warlock utility without the warlock present.

Why do you care?
Because there needs to be a reason to bring warlocks, and it’s ridiculous this key bit of utility doesn’t require the warlock to be in the group.
It’s all the salt we put in them, they last forever.
Probably the same reason other types of conjured items like mage food don’t I would imagine. But if we’re asking pointless questions, why does your name have to have so many L’s in it with such awkward positioning so as to make it hard to pronounce and sound weird?
Why stop there? Why should Mage biscuits stay in your inventory after a mage leaves your party or raid? /sarcasm
Mage biscuits are not unique class ability that is unable to be replicated.
You can buy food and drink anywhere, you cannot by a separate cooldown lock rock anywhere.
People just want some of the key warlock utility without having to bring the warlock.
That doesn’t make much sense because a player can also purchase health potions. Both the lock and mage cookies are small “health gifts” which disappear once a player logs off.
and… is officially sunday!!!
Health potions are on a separate cooldown to health stones, which is why they are desirable.
Reach for the stars, not straws. I know, I know. Both begin with “st” and it is all very confusing, but one day, you’ll get there.
why should you be able to keep gear from a vendor when the vendor is no longer present?
I’ve heard stories of some groups inviting a warlock just to get their cookies then boot them out the group which is a bit rude.
insert video of Cartman going home
Sunday post a bit early?
they arent “cookies”, they are health boogers! thats why they last so long and are delicious!
its pretty odd what keeps rage-quitters up at night
Exactly this. But there also needs to be a reason to bring warlocks over the brain dead FOTM specs. They gutted most of the unique warlock utility and gave it to other classes, healthstones are one of the few useful things we have left.
That seems a bit harsh cuz most locks are quite beneficial with their dps, dots, and pet bonuses. I can’t imagine kicking a lock unless they were really bad at playing their class.
Is that vendor able to reach in to your inventory and steal its item back?
Exactly.
