I thought loch modan was a good area to level am I the appropriate level?
Seems so hard to find quests, I’d rather not give up and go to westfall haha
You might be a bit under leveled. But most quest are available starting around level 10 or 16.

In the southwest of loch modan there is the outpost where the dwarves give you 3 successive quests to kill a bunch of troggs nearby.
That’s good for at least 1.5 levels if I’ve remembered correctly.
Then there’s a bunch of quests in thelsamar.
In the south east there’s a NE hunting lodge that gives you a few quests.
Across in the middle of the lake in the east there’s a gnome that gives out a quest.
And finally I think there’s a dark iron dwarf quest on the fame itself but you’d need to be higher level for that.

You can post links afaik.
It would serve you better to just go to darkshore. You can get to level 20 out there pretty easy.
Loch modan is a good area. You have to get quests in thelsamar; there’s one in Tinkertown to find Bingles who is out by the lach; Down the King’s road there are other quest givers… and there are some carry quests you can get in SW/IF I think for the area… it’s fun and it is a nice break from Westfall.
Alternatively, Darkshore/Ashenvale offers very good questing. Although Ashenvale is listed as 15-30 I frankly wouldn’t recommend it till you’re at least 20. It’s a tough area and there is about a 4 level gap.
Enjoy!
Try using the Questie addon which you can find at github. It’s really helpful. And it doesn’t take away from the lore if you wish to read the quest texts also
Zones with quests for level 15 Alliance members are:
Loch Modan (aimed at dwarves and gnomes)
Westfall (aimed at humans)
Darkshore (aimed at night elves)
I’ve done all the trogg ones up to the final where you have to kill the leader and the two guards.
I have done everything possible at least so far in thelsamar because there is no yellow “!”. I still have find bingles in my quest log
Its funny cos I just dinged 16 and the “report to gryan stoutmantle” has just gone grey haha. managed to stay out of westfall so far
I love the lore of going through all elwynn then taking the package breadcrumb quest to loch modan by riding the tram. It seems a lot harder then I remember obviously westfall is a lot easier
Look for Bingles, then? The quest gives you an idea of where to look. You say it’s hard to find quests and you’re considering giving up on the whole zone, but then say there’s a quest you haven’t done.
There’s the quests at the farstrider lodge on the eastern edge of the map as well. And one at ironbands excavation site. Personally. I love Loch Modan. First character I ever made was a dwarf hunter, and I have a soft spot for the Dun Morogh, Loch Modan, Wetlands zones…
loch modan suck, there isnt enough quest there. Why you go there as human><
West side of the lake is fine. East side need to be about lv 20ish.
I ended up going to darkshore for a bit. Just hit 17
Once I hit 20 is it possible to quest in wetlands or is there too little quests?
The human areas are designed a lot better obviously
I’m an altoholic, so I’ve done a lot of leveling in the 10-30 range (as Alliance). A fast-leveling guide (Joanna’s) confirms my own experience: you have to move between 2 or 3 zones if you want to level by questing.
Loch Lomond is great. But it has groups of quests at 3 different levels, with big gaps between them. Westfall does too. So does Wetlands. Lots of zones do in Classic. So switching between zones (2-3 levels in each) works well.
For example the leveling guide has you in Darkshore 12-17, then in 2 other zones, then Darkshore 20-21, then 2 other zones, then Darkshore 23-24. That’s how you do it with the most quests and the least grinding (or dungeoning), keeping your quest count below 20 and not running back and forth too often.
But many of us don’t want to follow someone else’s path. All I’m really suggesting is that (at any level) you think in terms of doing 2 or 3 zones, and don’t expect to go to a zone, stay there 8 levels and then go on to the next one. Maybe you did that in retail, but Classic isn’t like that.
lvl 11-18 is all about hopping between loch modan and westfall.
you can even go to darkshore. but youd want to do it all to save time so wait to go there until like 14/15
