Location of Khaz Algar?

Looks like there are two locations of Khaz Algar out there lol.

From the War Within landing page:

“Start your adventure on the Isle of Dorn off the western shores of Pandaria and descend into The Ringing Deeps.”

Still not sure how this place has been left undiscovered if it’s right off of Pandaria?

However, all the websites clearly given press kits (places like MMO-Champ, VG247, etc.), all have the following:

“Starting with the new level cap of 80, you will explore the new continent of Khaz Algar, off the western shores of Kalimdor.”

Pandaria is southeast of Kalimdor.

All we know is Avaloren is off the western shores of Kalimdor, beyond the storms. Someone flubbed along the way.

So is it west of Kalimdor or west of Pandaria? It’s a mystery apparently

I think the landing page made an error, as it was indicated where Khaz Algar is physically located on a map during the Blizzcon panel:

Khaz’Algar is West of Pandaria, which probably centers around the blood of Y’shaarj.

Avaloren is West of Kalimdor, which probably will center around a new smaller island either in 10.3, like the Forbidden Reach, or when we get to a future expansion.

One of the interesting things is that Uldaz was not included in the dungeon list for the expansion preview. While it could be a mega dungeon for the future, it is still yet undiscovered.

Hopefully Avaloren would be larger and huge like Pandaria instead of Kul’tiras, Zandalar, Khaz Algar, Broken Isles, and of course Dragon isles. I miss larger Continents.

Eh? The Dragon Isles are comparable to the size of Northrend. You just zoom real fast across it with Dragonriding.

Maybe it goes by a different name? Such as Tyrhold and thus the Halls of Infusion.

Its possible itll crop up during a patch as well; I expect Avaloren will be a patch zone as well tbh.

There’s a possibility, but they said that the Earthen follow the edicts of the titans, so I assume that they aren’t the heretics Odyn mentioned in the in-game book about Avaloren.

In those same books it mentioned the heretics would pay for what they did to a Titan Keeper, so I assume she’d be on a continent with a Keeper Fortress.

Surely you can see that further pursuit of the heretics is folly. Yes, they must be made to answer for their crimes against Innaria and the other keepers, but their defenses are not to be underestimated.

The resources required to breach their lines are simply beyond our current capabilities. At least, not without jeopardizing containment of the prisoners in our charge.

Would be more convenient to assault an island after the Void is truly gone from Azeroth.

That’s my hope, too. Like a fully fleshed out, new Kalimdor sized continent.

I’m guessing they are saving Avaloren as a patch or hopefully as an expansion.

It’ll probably contain a bunch of “true adherents” to azeroth’s will

Who is this Watcher Perethales? Kind of sounds like he’s maybe not telling the whole truth about something important. It’s kind of like he doesn’t want Odyn to worry about some army that’s being built up against him, in hopes that Odyn and his allies will turn on each other first.

Prime Designate,
I am writing to confirm that the wreckage discovered on our shores was indeed the remains of our most recent expedition to Avaloren. There were no survivors.
This marks the third failed attempt to reach that accursed place in the time since I assumed my post.
While I would not presume to question either your authority or your determination, I pray to the titans that the rumors I hear of a fourth expedition are merely speculation rather than fact.

Though I agree there is a risk in allowing their strength to grow, evidence suggests that the aggressive nature of the heretics will cause them to turn on one another and weaken their resolve. If we can be patient, an opportunity for retribution will present itself.
I beseech you, Prime Designate, let the fire of your wrath cool, at least for now. Its embers will be rekindled in due time.
If not, I fear that I will soon be authoring yet another report of a lost expedition, its final remnants dashed upon rock and wave.
With all respect,
Watcher Perethales

Both are technically to the west. It could be of a comparable latitude of Pandaria- while being further west of both- making the fastest way to reach it simply heading west from Pandaria.

And hopefully designed like Bolarus in that it feels lived it and alive.

I wish more cities were like that. Boralus is still the best city for atmosphere imo.
