Oh, that’s a good point. I honestly forgot about that part.
Another thing I forgot about was remdesivir, which was funded by American taxpayers who have to pay thousands to get the treament as well… though other countries pay pennies. Which also may not even be that effective.
If we had shut down the country for a few months when this started things would have mostly gone back to normal and Trump wouldn’t have torpedoed his chances of re-election. uwu

Difference between the current president and random people on the streets in a cherry picked edited video. Especially given the actions of the GOP relying on voter suppression and delegitimizing tried and true voting methods.
By that logic, you shouldn’t bother going to the ER if you’re having a heart attack. Just go to a random person on the street.

On one hand, I don’t mind that politicians are starting to listen to the experts as they often refused to listen, but the danger is that if you hand the entire country over to “the experts” well, this is a controversial point I know, but I get the feeling that whenever there is money involved, any “expert” even the well-meaning ones can be subject to corruption, let’s be honest, money can have that impact on people

Sure, they said it. They also have no more power than their vote - whereas the current president has a lot more power. They’ve stacked the Supreme Court. They control the Senate. And they’ve engaged in illegal practices - and barely legal ones - to try and steal this election.
Accuse others that which you are guilty of. You really don’t want to know who said it, but the GOP is using it to a T.
