Loading time on main is much slower than alts (solved)

When I load into my main character, it takes around 1min and 10 seconds.

When I load into one of my alts, it takes about 25 seconds.

My loading is much faster on my alts than it is on my main and I can’t figure out why. I tested turning off and on my addons to see if that affected it, but it changed nothing.

I cleaned up my wtf folder. I deleted my cache folder. i Ran a scan and repair. WoW is running great, but for the life of me, I can’t figure out why my main is so slow to log into.

Is it all the macros I have to load slowing me down? Any help appreciated, thank you!

My first thought would be add-ons (I’ve had that one effect my loading times), but you said you already checked for that… So my next theory would be this, that the macros are causing the loading times. I’m not 100% sure, but it would make sense.

One thing i tried, which is amazing to me, is i disabled ALL the news filters from my guild. I am in a huge guild.

Went down from 1min and 10 seconds to 25 seconds loading time.

I think I fixed it, but thank you for your help :slight_smile:
