So was it ever explained why the Loa’s picked Sylvanas for Warchief?
I’m assuming now that it was to get her exposed for the greater good of “ending the cycle” or what not.

It wasn’t the loas, it was something … bigger. The valkyr Eyrin? explained that.
But it’s pretty much still an ongoing story.

Vol’jin has a questline in BfA where it was talked about. It wasn’t the loa who did it. An unknown entity in Death whispered to him and tricked him into electing Sylvanas. It’s probably the same thing she’s allied with right now. Foreshadowing future threats.
There’s also another unknown being who helped protect Vol’jin’s spirit from the enemy one. Bwonsamdi, Eyir and the Lich King aren’t involved. They have no idea what’s going on.

Imo the story will most likely unfold as her ultimately doing good. We are not being told the full story…which is why a lot of people who cant lok beyond the immediate cut scene are mad at the story or say it makes no sense.
I think the cutscene had hits in diolouge we wont get until later.
The line about us all being pawns in tin suits stuck with me as a strange comment at the time…
In the Vol’jin questline, it was explained that it was some greater evil in the Shadowlands, likely Mueh’zala or some other “Death God” that manipulated Vol’jin on his deathbed to name Sylvanas Warchief. Likely the same being that is empowering Sylvanas with her dark magic.
The being that brought Vol’jin back, though, sounds like Elune. A being of higher valor and kindness, that is opposed to the evil creature that made Sylvanas Warchief.
Yeah but that quest line doesn’t do anything other than to say “wasn’t the loa” supposedly.
