The new models are cool and we should have a way to unlock them for Druid forms

At least one new form every season for bear/cats would be the bare minimum, given those druids never get to fully enjoy new transmogs every season like everybody else. Heck, every month even if we account for Trading Post novelties. But some people (usually non druids) die on the hill that druids already have a lot to choose from because of Legion.
Something interesting to do would be making new forms based on the tier set (with color unlocking in parallel to the gear).
And then other than that, occasional new forms for other shapeshifts. I’d love a Serpent “cat” form. Or maybe an Akil’zon flying form!

Completely agree! The models are already done too. Just give us a quest line or meta achievement to go unlock them.
