People are excited to open their Vault to see what they got.
If maintenance is going to take 6 hours, just say itâll take 6 hours.
Donât say 2 hours, then extend it by 1 hour every hour for 4 hours.

Again, Iâm fairly certain maintenance updates are automatic.
I donât see any reason to have a person manually updating it unless you know maintenance will be odd for sure, which happens on large patches and such.
They could do that, Iâm not against it.
I think after 20 years the thing that bugs me is the time its done. it should be done at midnight. activision must realize that the game is hanging on and this stuff is frustrating people.

Blizz, come on.
Since The War Within dropped, âroutine maintenanceâ is feeling anything but routine. You guys say itâs gonna be a couple hours, and then bamâhalf the day is gone, and weâre all sitting here twiddling our thumbs. Today, servers went down at 9:00 AM Central, and itâs now pushing 2:15 PM⌠still down. This isnât a one-time thingâitâs every. Single. Week.
Look, I get that maintenance is necessary. But if youâre gonna make âroutineâ downtime the new extended downtime, can you at least keep it real with us upfront? The constant delays and lack of clear communication are a bad look. If itâs gonna take longer, just say so. Ainât nobody got time to be refreshing the launcher for 6 hours.
We love the game, but man, this is getting old fast. Either fix the schedule or give us some better heads-up on whatâs going on. This weekly guessing game ainât it.

Iâm usually at work during maintenance anyway. If I happen to have the day off I just go find something else to do. I suppose it would be nice if Blizzard better communicated the time frame, but you guys are delusional if you think that would stop the complaining. Like if they just said âitâll take as long as it takesâ you lot would immediately start fussing anyway with questions like âwhy is it taking so long?â. If they overestimated the time frame you would complain that they finished early because you planned around the longer ETA.
Consistent extended maintenance sucks, but I think some of you need to find a hobby outside of Warcraft.
