We expect downtime on Tuesday but to have extend maintenance over and over with no communication is crazy.
What an asinine remark.
Why is there âalwaysâ a decent chance? They canât learn to accurately give time frames after 20 years?
Yes, overpromise underdeliver has been a standard operating procedure for quite a while now.
Bootlicker level.
careful, youâll fall into a feedback loop.
6 to 10 hr maintenance windows every week is insane for a 20 year old game.
Eyyyyy lemme hold a slice with hot sauce
Iâm waiting on my coffee to finish, so⌠no. Not really.
Explain how itâs asinine.
Because server upkeep isnât just turning it on and off again. They need to do a lot of things like clearing caches without losing any of your data.
WoW is a complex game.
You know itâs likely the timer for maintenance auto-updates until someone pushes the âweâre doneâ button, right?
It would be stupid in 2024, year of our lord, to have someone manually judging and posting this.
No, Iâd actually be happier if it said âIt will be done when its doneâ, giving a time frame gives people expectations. Itâs like making a promise you know you cant keep. This has been happening for weeks now and its just getting old. Some people like to play, gives you 0 rights to tell them to go do something else, youâre you and theyâre them. Personally its my day off and I like to get stuff done today so I have time for other things through the week.
Why hasnât the player base been compensated for all the extended and added maintenance since release of TWW?? I think its time we are compensated.
you cant fire the dei hiresâŚgot purple or green hair youâre in forever no matter how much you stink at your job
I was. Got a free day in my gift box.
I think the biggest frustration with extended maintenance comes from no communication.
Why is it being extended? As far as I can tell there is no patch, no hotfixes being implemented, so whatâs the deal? If thereâs no patch and no hot fixes⌠what are they doing?
Okay, stop. This rhetoric is beyond stupid.
I havenât gotten anything.
I latterly will have no chance to paly this week due to the weekly 15hrs maintenance window today.
lol
They nuked guild vaults during maintenance and didnât even notice until people started complaining then a month later said ânothing we can do, good luckâ
Does this look like a classroom where I give you information you can look up? Take the onus upon yourself for furthering your own education. Thanks.
Homie really just said âThey need to do a lot of things like clearing cachesâ lmao.
Brother, what is wrong with them going âMaintenance will occur on Tuesday, we do not have an exact downtime estimate, but likely through the evening. We apologize in advanceâ?
That alone would remedy a large amount of frustration for players. Under promising and over delivering is the tried and true way of making customers happy and feel respected.
I donât recall excusing this.
If anything this should be evidence that itâs a complex ecosystem, and we donât want that garbage happening again, so let them take their day of maintenance.
Yeah, Iâm not gonna continue to engage with a sockpuppeting classic alt.
I was a GM/RL from Vanilla thru MoP and we NEVER had these many prolonged maintenances. At best, a huge patch, raid would take this long BUT never, every other week. Again, Blizzard died the day they were sold to Activision!
Itâs not their fault, theyâve only been doing this for 20 years and have billions of dollars.
Cut them some slack.
âSup I got my entire argument countered within 2 posts, and now instead of admitting I was wrong or defending my statements, I will call in to question the character being used to call me out. HA GOT EM!â
âIâm a winner, I said so, so itâs true.â
Post on main, I bet I know you.
