LIVING SEED. with all of the absolutely busted ridiculous abilities why give druids something this absolutely unequivocally useless in almost every way. Even 100% healing in a dungeon you don’t take it why is it in the game why is it so useless? change it its useless absolute waste of a spot.
Living seed is useless in any version of WoW. Luckily havining infinite wrath to spam between wild growth is awesome

If they added that it gave HoTs a 10% chance to crit it’d be useful, especially in SoD since they don’t crit at all currently.

I mean, Hunters have multiple runes that are outright useless.
Lone Wolf is worse than Lion even before you factor in losing a pet.
Cobra Strikes and Sniper Training only trigger off specifically shot abilities, not auto shot, so they are useless.
Serpent Spread doesn’t work with Chimera Shot, so it serves no purpose.
Or make it so it plants the seed automatically why require a crit. Seems so incredibly clunky and wasteful especially for a healing chest slot.
May both hunters and druids someday have their runes fixed and this tragedy righted.
i’m not talking less or more useful i’m talking about the talent being USE LESS it doesn’t function in any way. You never cast spells that can crit
Regrowth with 50% crit might have it see some use. There was a regrow spec that some druids used around BWL and AQ and living seed would add extra healing to that playstyle.
Living seed is 30% of the total health healed from a critical heal. A crit in vanilla is 200% for healing. Improved growth will maybe turn regrowth into a costly flash heal.
I will agree that living seed is the most useless Rune I’ve seen, but at least its not locked behind a huge quest chain like Serendipity, which is also completely useless.
Correct. I’m telling people from experience that in Era/OG classic, resto druids had two basic options for healing. They either spammed downranked HT, or they spammed downranked Regrow once they had enough mana support to handle the cost. Regrow crits provided decent upfront healing, but you were able to utilize the hot for increased HPS and it was great at competing with classes with faster heals.
The competing with faster healing classes will apply less in SOD, but you can’t deny that a heal that triggers on damage will do wonders for our effective healing.
It wont be useless forever.
