Is there any particular reason you have decided to disallow us to both log onto live and classic at the same time? Sitting here staring at a queue for the game I want to play for 6 hrs when I could be grinding AP in the game a begrudgingly still play because mythic raiding is good while I wait is pretty lame.

It’s not two games. It’s two different instances of the same game and you only pay for one user.
its two diff executables, two diff installs two diff ect ect, its not the same game.

Subscribe a 2nd account. Issue solved. Play classic on 2 servers if you want, 1 queued 1 in-game.
if only blizzard had the same attitude of throwing money at everything to fix it 
Look at the Bnet launcher
Click games only WoW option is World of Warcraft
Then under that you choose ‘version’ of the game you want to play (normal or classic) then the account you want to log into.

This would be highly disruptive for Classic as the economies of these two games are very different.

I am perfectly fine with only being IN one game at a time. Just let me sit in the stupid queue while I raid in retail or something. Queue gets done you just add a prompt through bnet telling you that you have to log off to log onto Classic. It really isn’t that complicated.

It’s the same game in the only aspect that it matters. How many you pay for.
