Live Action Bambi (I'm not kidding)

I heard that Disney is once again, making another live action remake. This time they’re remaking Bambi. There is not much info about this but the biggest one is that Bambi’s mom may not end up dying in that movie. The filmmakers haven’t revealed much but are stating that the original film’s story about the mother dying was not “family friendly” and that the new story will be very different than the original cartoon.

I don’t seem to understand this, they’re okay with live action (Ok CGI) Mufasa’s death but somehow having Bambi’s mom die in realistic CGI would be too much? This is how soft we have become as a society, when a story that is about teaching the lessons about death, is somehow controversial and that children should shielded to know that death is an actual thing.

They won’t end with Bambi, they’re gonna remake every classic cartoon (with the possible exception of Pocahontas but for the wrong reasons imo). Disney is creatively bankrupt.

wonder how they are going to manage to screw this one up…not wonder as in “going to pay to see how”, but wonder as in “cant wait to hear about another dumpster fire” since that is all they seem capable of doing anymore.

They would have to do this with pretty much every old Disney movie.

Today’s society has changed a lot in what’s considered “acceptable”.

I always loathed the old Disney cartoon movies, though for other reasons… Just can’t stand singing in movies, completely obliterates my suspension of disbelief.

Sir I will not sit here and listen to someone disrespect The Emperors new groove in this way. That movie is a masterpiece

The only thing that has changed is that a tiny minority thinks that because they are intolerant, it means “society” is and thus everything must be made only for them.

Disney has always made a variety of content for a variety of people up until 10 years ago, like too many companies, caved in to a small vocal online mafia. Thus, their loses in revenue. If “society” liked it, their revenues would have increased, not plummeted.

Whatever Disney touch it turns into :poop:. Seriously both MCU and Star Wars franchise are dying, park attendances is low and all their films are all box office flops. Their agenda is not very popular to GA and yet they keep doubling down. It ashamed that Disney was used to be a great family company until corporation took over and destroyed it. I am sure Walt Disney is rolling in his grave right now.
