Elistists didn’t take Torghast or borrowed power. Casuals did. It’s I only played for the first couple of months in BFA and SL because of grinds that required daily play. I know many other people who quit early on in those expansions for the same reasons I did. Then with Dragonflight and TWW they get rid of those systems, made the game casual and alt friendly again and all of a sudden players came back. It wasn’t elitists that scrapped that content.
so you love doing choreghast just to make the legendary gear and upgrade the said gear
Problem has more to do with how busted the scaling system is. As-is it’s virtually impossible to gauge personal performance while leveling because scaling actively sucks the power out of you as you level. Blizzard actually did a fairly good job of making sure max level mobs aren’t a pain in the butt.
Torghast had the unenviable problem of being bolted to SL’s lego system.
Good riddance.
Good riddance.
Good riddance.
More effort and skill = get better gear isn’t really an elitist take though.
Why would elitist care about any of those things?
Did “elitists” (quotations cuz there’s a definition for elitist for each person in the world) take those away, or Blizz?
Elitists took my dog!
That didn’t exist back then.
And that also doesn’t solve the problem of me not getting experience when doing those quests.
my dog step on a elitist
Like your cognitive capacity.
I agree with some of the OPs list, but not these. Delves shouldn’t drop mythic track gear, BUT they should drop the gilded crests necessary to upgrade the heroic track they do drop. And to me they’re still a solo experience.
And Choreghast was so awful I’m kinda glad it didn’t have any valid rewards since I hated it so much I hardly ran it at all (after a couple of weeks I skipped the Pathfinder spitegate).
I disagree, delves shouldnt drop hero track but because they do you should be forced to do outside content to max that gear like other people are forced to interact with other parts of the game.
i’m 50/50 on the loss of mission tables. on the one hand, they were a neat little feature. on the other, having a new one every expansion got annoying… plus, i did’nt like the change they had in legion where it was turned into an auto-battler. it was’nt for me.
i know i don’t speak for everyone, but i still like delves when running solo, so…
torghast sucked, so that was’nt that big of a loss. granted, it could’ve been fun if it was’nt entirely maw-themed, but as it was, it sucked. seriously, island expeditions were more interesting.
those exist? the only one i found slightly-fun was my artifact weapon back in legion… and even then, it was only fun after they added the huge catch-up boost.
probably for the better. side question, do non-mythic dungeons still give raid-level gear, or no? i remember that being a worry a while back.
that does’nt sound like something elitists would want taken away. that sounds like blizzard being blizzard with their game-design.
Elitists ate my cupcakes.
even trolling is gatekept by the 1% elitists nkw
Blatant lie here. There was huge whining about this from the try-hards about “being forced” to run nothing but +2s and how “mind numbingly boring” it was even though it was 100% thier choice to do so. Casuals loved it since there were always low keys going on and every key was worth running. Compared to now when no one runs lower level keys due to which crests they drop.
casuals couldn’t get into low keys because everyone invited the over geared dps
Not much as changed, eh?
not nearly as bad as it was. the geared people are in higher keys for higher crests.
