I think the hero track part is fine. If all you do is delves, you’re never going to get past 619, maybe 620-621 if you really go crazy. It gives the casual crowd something to work on without stepping on the toes of “real gamers” doing gilded crest level content.

That’s fine. What are you doing as a solo player that requires higher than hero lvl gear? It’s enough to solo most solo-able world content for me, and to help contribute well to LFR and TW runs. I don’t really feel I need mythic gear for the content I do.

How? I’m having fun doing them solo. I always do them solo.

Granted, I don’t have every class to 80 yet, but so far Hunter, Paladin, Priest, and Warrior can do 8s. I’ve only tried up to 6 on my Druid, though, but that’s because I don’t know quite how to Lazer Chicken yet, but she’ll probably do a couple 8s before the season’s over.

This isn’t a brag, btw. I’m a very “meh” player. I’d get kicked out of a heroic raid so fast. rofl So my point is, if I’m having fun doing these, then I don’t understand why other low / mid-tier players aren’t?

I can almost guarantee 90% of people complaining about Delve difficulty are better than me at the game, so I doubt it’s a “skill issue,” and I would like to know what they’re frustrated about that I’m not.

I genuinely love delves, and I don’t get the hate. :woman_shrugging:

I’ll pass on the borrowed power systems if I have to grind artifact power. Those weren’t fun. Mission tables were never really exciting to me personally and Torghast became a grind because of the crafting system. Also some things you’re claiming that were taken away were never actually a thing.

That’s not really what I meant, but I’m sorry you had to endure such hardships. You being able to avoid that in the future would definitely be worth the casual playerbase having less to do for the whole season.

There’s no set rule for whats too easy or to hard. Just because you don’t like it doesn’t mean its a problem.

Now I do agree that they are easy for what you get, sure. I think the current t8 rewards should come at t11. But, that doesn’t mean that the current setup is a problem.

Many casual players are staying invested and engaged for longer. Thats a win.

Actually this game has always rewarded gear based on the level of difficulty.

Delves are too easy to award hero track. Blizzard just has to prop its participation numbers up by over rewarding them.

What I like or don’t like doesn’t change this.

I do enjoy killing stuff fast when my item level is high enough to do so.

That did kill delves for me that it caps at heroic dungeon level loot, delves are only useful to collect the vendor prizes, no point in doing them anymore after that.

I hated that place.

Glad that’s gone too, because people would gate you out of groups based on borrowed power level.

If you’re a casual player, why do you care about mythic tracked gear in any capacity? You can do literally any content in the game, except content that only the most elite elitists do, with heroic track gear.

Why would I need proof? Show me where players are clamoring for Azerite armor? Or Warfronts. The forums are flooded with people requesting new classes.

Oh really? I could have sworn that before delves came along to be the new drama, there was always this constant complaints in the disparity of difficulty between high M+ gear and mythic raid gear.

Actually though, this would realistically be fine. I wasn’t thinking about the level range of champ gear.

Champ goes to 619, which is as high as a delve only player can realistically go so thats fine.

In that regard it could maybe be better if the vault reward was a champ item lower than 616, but if delves then gave a bit more runic crests so you’d have more crest upgrading interaction rather than just waiting for your next 616 vault.

this was never going to happen. necromancers are way too much like an affliction/death knight hybrid for the devs to ever consider.

The issue with mplus compared to raiding gear was how fast and easy it is to farm gear and crests in mplus compared to raid due to raid loot drops being reduced to 1 per 5 people.

Its never been an issue on difficulty. It’s been an issue of mplus awarding gear faster due to being able to spam it all week.

That’s why I make that suggestion. Hero 4/6 is the same as max champion gear
