List of reasons why shadowstep should be on a GCD

  1. Rogue was strong in og vanilla and blizzard is now scared they will face backlash if they make rogue strong in SoD again.
  2. To deliberately keep rogues down.
  3. I cant think of any other reason other than to purposefully cuck rogues.

Yes, and yes.

Nobody ever wants to hear Warriors whining about PVE or Rogues whining about PVP.

Well get use to it because youre about to hear a lot of it.

Maybe i am misremembering, but isn’t Blink on the GCD? If so, why wouldn’t Shadowstep be on the GCD too?

Shadowstep has always been used in conjunction with other key abilities and never on its own. This is the first time it has ever been this way.

What’s the point of Shadowstep if you can’t immediatley do your opener?

So it goes:

Shadowstep then awkwardly wait a global sitting behind the enemy and smelling their hair… → The actual opener.

OR

Shadowstep mid battle to chase…awkwardly teleport behind them and /wave for a global.

LMAO! I shud macro my step with /sniff :joy::joy:
Oh you forget the 3rd option my friend which is
3. Get shouted/nova’d/feared/anything out of stealth

Lmao, nice. That actually convinced me that SS should probably be off the GCD.

Haha get your step/sniff macros ready!!!

ITS SO AWFUL. WHY DID THEY DO THIS :rage:

just make it cost 10 energy again and take it off the GCD, vs any class with any kind of instant CC or aoe its just a “hit me” button rn.

Don’t make too much noise or they’ll balance Mut down to the realm of sanity and destroy the big thing keeping you viable.

Hunter player speaking from p1 experience. Keep your head down, brother.

Make Rogue strong again?
They have already proved to be very strong. They were fighting with Warrior for 1st/2nd in BFD.

They are only going to be better in PvP now they have access to their stuns as well as a gap closer and a long range snare when they were already gods in vanilla.

Not to mention pretty much every other class has their mobility on the GCD because this is classic and that is how it is designed, so why should Rogue be any different?

Not only that but Rogue has the shortest GCD in the game lol. Sorry you can’t SS into and into KS with no counterplay.

OPs point was more valid because they posted on a rogue lol

And this should be different because it’s from a rune, runes are different :man_shrugging:

Why should a mage double blink and bounce around like a ping pong?

That literally never happened, at least not in PVP.

nah of course it has. Just because rogues have been historically strong in PvP doesn’t mean a salty dev hasn’t made them dogwater for a couple of patches.

I am wrong…or didn’t shadowstep also broke out of a cc like frost nova or roots?

Not in the OG version from what I heard on here. But it has never been on the GCD. For good reason. Its so awkward to play with this way.

Funny. I seem to recall warlock being an absolute unkillable monster in classic wow. Then they brought out a more powerful drain life which you no longer needed to channel and then also gave them haunt or meta which made them substantially tankier but at the cost of fear.
