in legion we had a lead pvp designer
he couldn’t push the changes he wanted without getting constantly shot down by ion and upper management
i dont know specifically if he stepped down (i think he did) or if they shrank down the pvp team
but we went a LONG time without a lead dev and got chris kalecki at some point
who’s completely inept but i believe he want’s the meta to evolve “organically” without so many changes “forcing” fotm retrds to frequently reroll
