So as many of you are aware the Trust system is one of the many illogical things blizzard has done over the years. One of the casualties is the fact you need Trust 3 in order to post links to non “trusted” website ie anything that isnt Youtube, Twitch, or a blizzard website.
Fortunately there is a way to avoid breaking links!
using the ` key (the one above Tab) at the beginning and end of the link.
mmo-champion.com
you can keep the link whole and gives you a nice highlighted block to copy paste as well.
Most of the people on the wra subsection know this but its not as common knowledge as it should be.
Edit:
For those of you who are phone posters and use an iPhone by pressing [123] on the keyboard then pressing [#+=] it will bring you to the various symbols and misc buttons when you hold down the Apostrophe -> ’ it will bring up 4 variations of that for other languages and the ` will the far left option.

It’s not a good system.
I was really active on the forums even before I wanted trust level 3. I decided I wanted to be able to post images on my guild forum, and the 20,000 post requirement is a bit ridiculous. It involved just straight up farming long threads I didn’t care about, which took time away from the forum community I actually wanted to be a part of (WrA).
You can be active without having to do homework assignments to be able to post pictures. And I don’t see how reading a bunch of posts and visiting a bunch of different topics generates “trust”, either.

One of the most common pieces of advice in the early days was to just hit the middle mouse button on something like the ol’ High Elves megathread and then just let the autoscroll do the work for you. That pretty much defeated the whole idea that TL3 was achieved/achievable by just being active in the community. Trust levels might not have been a bad idea if they’d been wholly more reasonable in the requirements.

Thanks Siberos, now I can post an unbroken link to my podcast.
These forums are kind of bitter sweet. I like that there is the instant update and you can see who is typing and who likes what, but at the same time not having an ignore feature and needing Internet fame points to hand out likes is kind of absurd.

Actually how do you do it on mobile?
There should be a symbols key when the keyboard comes up.
For mine theres 2 pages of symbols and the ` key is where it usually is on a keyboard but on the 2nd page of symbols

Remember to spread the word! The criminal action of broken links must come to an end.
I don’t know what you’re all complaining about, I really enjoy having no ignore function and all the moderation being outsourced to somebody’s garage startup in Mexico.

Not to like, hijack the thread or anything, but a somewhat related thing I’ve alluded to before: you can get around the 10-character limit on posts by adding invisible Unicode characters (alt+0173) that register as text but don’t actually appear in a post.

If this thread becomes a “how to cheat the trust system” that’s fine by me.

I may… have went to high elf threads and put a heavy object on my down arrow key to auto grind rep cough

I just clicked my mouse wheel and moved it down a little bit so it auto scrolled…
For the people who do feel inclined to grind trust by scrolling megathreads, pay attention to the dates. Only posts less than 90 (or maybe 100?) days old count towards your totals. Some of those big threads have been around for ages, so if you start at the beginning you’ll waste loads of time.
So apparently I have Trust 3 now…
