Sometimes the screen is just too busy.

I had to turn off the damage numbers for one.

It would be nice if you could have just a simple red or blue vertical line above players heads or like a small dot that is either red or blue indicating what side you’re on.

I don’t really like big horizontal, nameplates or health bars That add to screen clutter.

I want a good visual of the characters.

Maybe there’s an add-on for this.

I want to reduce clutter on the screen and make things and players more visible.

Grab AdvancedInterfaceOptions and mess around with the nameplate size CVars, you should be able to do what you want with the Blizz ones. Dorki does something similar to what you’re describing for their friendly nameplates and those can’t be modified by addons.
