They were upfront about the boat coming to the store once the promotion was over, so nobody should really feel bad about it. I know I personally don’t care.

Saved money and got a mount during the promotion. So I’d say I’m feeling just fine since I would’ve been subbed those 6 months regardless at a higher rate per month.

I had already gotten the 6months as I do for every expansion as that is about how long I stick around unless friends play longer. So I retroactively got it.
Don’t care that its back I hope the people who wanted it but couldn’t/didn’t it for whatever reason can do so now.

If they did that now I’d buy the 6 months because 8.2 is a couple months away. However…they did the promotion durning a really crappy time in BFA and it was to retain some subs.

I was going to play regardless. The boat was a nice carrot.
I didn’t because I wasn’t sure if I’d still want to be subbed 6 months later. I made the right choice.

Blizzard flat out said the boat will be available for individual purchase later when the promotional started… if you’re butthurt over it, that’s your own fault for not reading.

I have been doing the six month sub since my wife found out years ago we could save some money by doing that. So the boat was absolutely free for me. I don’t have a care in the world about what is in the Blizzard shop.

That is an excellent point. I like that boat even more now.
They probably feel the same way most people feel when they get a new mount: excited for all of an hour. Most of the players probably don’t even pull the boat out anymore.

I have quite a few low drop mounts. You know what I use most often? Flight form.
Anyone who is furious about the boat being available again is likely just having fake outrage. It’s a purchasable mount. They matter less than rep grind mounts. Who genuinely cares?

I sort of understand it…
many of those who might be annoyed by it normally don’t pay for the 6month sub. Since for them, they don’t have the savings to afford 6month sub cost regularly… so in their minds, they splurged on an “expensive mount” only for it to be “cheaper” later on…
but regardless it’s pointless to be annoyed by it… because in the end they got it at no extra cost, in fact they got it for saving a few extra dollars over 6 months… and during those 6 months they found themselves with an extra $15/mo of spending money…
it’s a problem with the newer generations I think… they feel as though everything should be exclusive, and that if it’s not exclusive then they were cheated… it’s annoying, and I wish they would grow up already and realize the world isn’t all about them… exclusives are bad, especially when it comes to items for games…

I got the boat same way I assume a lot of people did. I was gonna sub 6 months anyway, the mount was just a bonus for me. As others stated here, they thoroughly said the boat would be a cash shop mount later on, you can’t say you didn’t expect this.
