So yet again for the umpteenth time in this god awful expansion Method is getting a great night sleep while Limit is stuck on a broken raid boss for hours.
You would think as an American I would be happy with the great progress that Limit is making BUT YET AGAIN the raid leader of Limit is having to come up with strats to deal with bugged and broken mechanics for your raid.
Where are you QA devs at to whisper them and ask what is wrong? They are actively trying to deal with broken mechanics on this boss with zero information Blizzard on if they are wasting their time.
This is literally the only thing I get enjoyment out of wow anymore from is watching this world first race but every single time NA players end up beta testing your broken fights. It is not a fair world first race when this constantly happens every single raid tier while EU will wake up and it will be fixed.
Every single time. How in gods name is there not a dev dedicated to watching this to make sure it goes smooth? Limit literally has comms on and is actively e-mailing Blizzard while trying to progress with strats to work around broken mechanics on this fight.
This has been a big problem with the ptr, there just isn’t a lot of raid testing going on at that level, plus for whatever reason copying it over to live breaks things. There’s been a couple fights that are completely different on live right now strictly from complications of moving things over. It’s dumb. Blizz’s downsizing is really biting them in the butt.
This happened during Ashvane. Limit was very far ahead and got to Ashvane and had to deal with mechanics spawning under the floor that wiped the raid for over 10+ hours!!!
It is not like they are just complaining but they are informing Blizzard of the problem real time and getting nothing back.
Limit has a 24 hour head start and you have the brain power to calculate this as a disadvantage. Cant even fathom the shallow depths of your thought processes.
Yet it is always coincidentally fixed by the time Method starts raiding making this head start that NA gets pointless literally every single time.
It is trash design that Blizzard cannot fix their fights to make this race fair for NA. How about release this trash in EU first and let Method get stuck on a bugged mess of a fight for 12 hours.
Personally, I think you’re the narrow-minded pity candidate here. OP has a legitimate point. It may seem slightly hyperbolic in it’s presentation, but he’s not nearly as off the mark as you.
If the encounter is technically broken - cannot practically be beaten because of a coding error or miscalculation by the team - it’s likely that some, or all of the time spent pursuing a strategy is entirely wasted, which immediately discounts your throw away attempt at being a superior intellect and just makes you look like a dick. If these issues are addressed before other guilds waste time on them, then Limit is very uniquely affected by the poor QA.
Blizzard is going to hell in a hand basket, and no amount of player infighting, or snobbish player attitudes is any defense against their self-inflicted shenanigans. Everyone who pays for this game deserves better.
My point is if Blizzard had the courtesy to tell Limit “hey guys this is a major error and will take us 4 hours to fix” then they can go do M+ or Heroic splits instead of wasting time.
The lack of communication from Blizzard has become a company policy of ignoring the community. These are HIGHLY publicized events being watched by hundreds of thousands of people making the entire company look like amateur hour live.
World first race is not something Blizzard cares about, has a mandate to monitor, or has any sort of ranking system that encourages world first, apart from an achievement that 100 raids can qualify for (per faction per realm?). World first is purely a 3rd party/streamer thing, Blizzard doesn’t care that neckbeards raid 24 hrs a day until they down a bugged boss.
Do you think Method would agree to not raid on the last day of the raid week? If not, they’d be gifted an extra day of raiding. I get the sentiment behind your post, but it’s not just as simple as that.
Ultimately, this isn’t about the raiders, the underlying theme here is that the impact of Blizzard’s greed is surfacing at all levels of the game. There is no excuse for the state in which the recent patches have been released and nobody, in my opinion, should be defending that.
They are making administrative errors, like copy pasting incomplete spell ID’s, or neglecting to flag things correctly. Not errors when calculating things like damage requirements, or the raider’s defensive capabilities. They’re straight up making mistakes because they’re understaffed and overworked. I think it’s a massive shame.
