Limit Purchase Recipes

Sorry to Rant, but every important recipe is camped by 4-8 bots all day. They then repost them for ridiculous prices. Ban the bots or for the seasonal server can we just drop the respawn timer to 5 min for all limited recipes? FAP in Phase 1 now Runecloth Bag and others in Phase 3. Better yet… do both…

You have to use a macro that auto buys the pattern and spam your interact key to have any hope of getting one. I managed to do it but it took me around 6 hours. It was also super early in the morning when I got it.

I would hope that Blizz didnt intend for anyone to have to camp a vendor for 6 hours spamming a macro…

Probably not but I doubt they care enough to spend 5 minutes changing some code around.

Yeah, I made it up to Everlook at 2 am and found 4 people still camping the recipe vendor. There’s zero reason these recipes should be limited supply.

Should’ve planned ahead and gone to Everlook during phase 2

Theres lot of vendor that had been disabled and some who didnt have the limited items during p2. 1 of my guildie was parked there for Launch in the hope of being able to get it as p3 released. No luck sadly.

Good job Blizzard patching them out so the bottleneck would be more severe

Meh I’m good with limited recipes. You don’t need everything right away.

They removed Qia so you couldn’t buy them in P2

I assume he meant get the FP in P2 and/or logout there to be able to snag the recipe as soon as P3 went Live. Which is what I did.

I’m not a bot and my prices are very reasonable.

Megaserver woes. I expected to buckle up for a big wait for FAP in P1, but I got it in 2m, and have seen it several times since.

It’s not a huge deal, but I agree with the OP’s base point. Limiting key recipe supply to vendors that are camped all day is not an ideal solution

I am a bigger fan of locking key recipes via drop rates (or questlines) in dungeons as it gets people in groups doing content. If you have to put in 6 hours to get it might as well be doing actual content and helping other people get gear, too

Camped by bots using scripts. I don’t want to encourage but scripted programs are all over the internet.

ONLY players with skill level should be able to pick it up. ALL recipes should be at the trainer. Even if you are in a group and it drops, everyone will roll on it. This makes enchanting almost useless because of the price of the best recipes. I guess players can just wait until they go down.

Lol you coudlnt buy them… do research before you post

I bet most aren’t Bots but players using Keyboard Macros who go AFK.

Scripts are macros.

Macros are provided for in the base UI.

going AFK while a script/macro is running is the very definition of botting. If you are sitting at the keyboard or not if you arent actually playing your character and something is automated, it is botting. Macro/script that you personally interact with, not botting…
