And why can’t people just play and be happy? Why do they have to get upset or disappointed over this sort of thing?
Because of the competitive nature of WoW gameplay…many players have to play the “best” classes to be happy.
So if the class you like isn’t the “best” you have to change to enjoy playing
That’s pretty crazy and depressing to me.

To be totally fair, a lot of games do this. People who take a game seriously because it’s a competitive hobby (like WoW) will always plan ahead and make calls on ideas and presented material. It’s why we have the PTR. To provide feedback and get an idea of what’s coming.

Don’t get me wrong, I’ve swapped mains in expansions before if we needed something else for the raid. I just never really go by preliminary results of things, because half the time, I can.do better than what those types things at anyway. So I just don’t let that get to me.
I agree with Elli in the video for shadow. Spriest Tier bonuses are absolutely “bonkers” and shadow is going to be high apm with a lot of decision making when multiple things proc at once. I really look forward to 9.2.

It’s hard to disagree with Joey’s assessment, too bad he doesn’t really go into detail about why the Ret tier is so bad.
First of all, Art of War procs from auto-attack. So you might actually get 0.3 to 0.4 seconds to react to the “2 second” Seraphim proc.
Secondly, the RNGxRNG nature of the 4 piece is the least of its problems. Almost every Ret is running the Expurgation conduit right now and using the tier cuts its power literally in half. Sure, you could run a different conduit, but none of the others scale nearly as well. To wit, the 4pc would have to give the expected value of 5% throughput just to break even in single-target. But that’s only going to happen if it literally triples the number of Wake casts - I remind you this is for DPS neutrality, not to see actual gains.
