Yeah, I'd probably put her somewhere in the top 3 acceptable candidates. The list of strong replacements is pretty short though. After Nate and Voss, we've got... Belmont? Faranell? Lydon? Tattersail, maybe? I'd take any of them before I ever considered Calia or any of the new Undead Night Elves that's for sure.
Honestly, "BtS" brought up a ideological split within the Forsaken thats rarely ever explored, the matter of identity.
There are those within the Forsaken that still, to this day, identify more with their past lives when they were citizens of Lordaeron (and if given the opportunity, would continue doing so). On the other hand, there are also plenty of Forsaken that identify far more with their new lives, their current Forsaken identity.
Honestly, "IF" we need a "Allied Forsaken Sub-Race" I'd prefer it be along that ideological line (over "magic"). Once Syvlie is gone, the faction splits. "The Undead of Lordaeron" follow Faol and Bartholomew, "The Forsaken" follow Nathanos and Voss. Calia can hang out and "get to know" the first group if she wants.
IF we need an Allied Forsaken sub-race I hope it's Alliance side and they can keep Calia. The thought of her, or Lightforged Forsaken in general, in the Horde just sends me into a blind rage. It's antithetical to the original theme of the Forsaken that I've loved playing for the last 10+ years. I'm fine with growth and reining in the darker aspects of the race but LF would just destroy it. Sorry to derail your thread with Calia non-sense, Roghter :P
