Likely won't even hit duelist

Yeah, and there’s also times where it did work out.

I’m not saying that practice will 100% produce results that end up with a player being among the best. But you can’t get there without the practice and that is my point. Practice is the common denominator between pro players, not talent.

I mean your entire argument is kinda based on nothing. So has everyone who’s ever done well in something only been able to do that because they were innately talented in it in the first place? You can’t really prove if it’s right or wrong, it’s kinda meaningless.

Take Goku for example. He was born with a power level of 5 and ended up being the most powerful warrior in the universe because he had the right attitude. Vegeta on the other hand was born with 500 power level and always envied Goku and was full of pride, which all held him back.

best real world example I have heard.

It’s based on the reality of 99.9999999% of people who have dedicated their lives to being professional at something and fell
short ???

hey man, check this out, with all due respect, shroud likely put in 20k+ hours as a kid and his dad was the sole proponent for where he’s at. this all attributed to his acuity and then he got lucky on twitch & made his brand. it’s a 1 in a million life. is what it is, practice and quit complaining about talent

no offense, of course

Can’t doubt Goku man.

It’s not always due to lack of talent or practice though. Sometimes life has other plans.

There are an infinite number of factors that could have resulted in that.

Nobody said that big bird. If you put 20k hours into cs:go growing up you’d still be a silver 2.

Only because you had no direction or coaching.

The thing about PvP is that you’re always going up against other people who also improve.

I double downed on Pogs. I was the best Slammer expert in grade school. Pogs died months later and now my basement is full of Pogs and I have an advanced skillset that is not lucrative.

I am in the exact same situation as OP. I hit 2.1 in the last two season of shuffle, and now hover at 1.9-2k on my druids and finding it a bit hard to climb. Honestly, I will not let the outcome effect me because I only really cared about getting Shadow Flame this xpak. I’ll try to hit duelist, if I can, but if I don’t I’ll know I’ve had fun and played to improve either way  I’m kinda looking forward to next season cuz I should have more time to play it and am planning to multi-class rather than play 3 of the same lmao

Someone dedicating their life to something and failing doesn’t mean they weren’t capeable of achievement it usually means they used the wrong methodology when trying to achieve their goal.

The point was not everyone will be capable of achieving something that such a small percentage of players achieve. Doesn’t mean they can’t improve and get to a better rating. I think the proper argument to the original statement is just the disagreement on what percentage of players should achieve “elite” and if it would improve participation.

My YouTube rental expired before I could watch the last 30 mins of the matrix. What happened?
