Only shuffle.
Has nothing to do with that but having inconsistent rating is really bad for the player base. Unchained put gladiator range at where 1800 normally is. Crimson shuffle put 2700 where 1800 normally is.
It warps players understanding of rating for those that aren’t as invested to understand what was going on. Their seasonal success goes 1800,1800,2000,1800,2100,1800,2600 gladiator,1800,3000 shuffle, 1800 and they go hey what the heck fix your game im a 2600xp gladiator stuck at 1800. It’s not true, obviously but they created that misconception.
Your rating range should not arbitrarily move because blizzard added a hidden buff to increase it you should only progress from 1800 to 2000 if your skill level actually increased.
I’m seeing last season Glad mounts in lobbies at 1600 on this toon. Wait in que 40 minutes to an hour and I’m bumping into season 1 and season 2 Glad players. At 1600? At this point I don’t think I wanna climb back to 1800. It’s even scary in the lowest of the low brackets.
We’ve seen some bleak times in years past but it feels like we’re experiencing a game that’s rounding the corner of becoming completely unsupported by Blizzard. Between the company downsizing and pvp tuning being virtually abandoned, I wonder if the time we’ve all been fearing for years may finally be happening.
The gaming industry has changed so much since WoW that I can’t find anything I want to play outside of older games. Other than LoL and my on and off(mostly off) WoW world pvp, gaming is pretty much off the table for me. I guess I should be thankful. If it weren’t for shear desperation for something to do during my down time, I wouldn’t have started working on videography for my charter business.
Its still bittersweet though… I put so much into my account over the years with thousands of dollars invested and a lot of Mounts and transmogs. It’s really hard to let go. It’s sad and depressing if you think about it.
Some people pay for it
Some people are on Alts
Some people played ret war
Either way 1800 this season is just 1800 and the only thing stopping you from getting it is you.
If you’re inferring that glad mounts at 1600 means 1600= glad last season you’re horribly delusional
No lol. Not what I’m saying at all. I mean players that did way better last season are either getting stuck in lower than normal rating(yes, some are) or sure, they’re on alts doing some really last second climbing.
It’s not all that hard to end up dropping rating as a healer enough to go from 2100 to 1700 or less rating. That’s mostly what I’m noticing. High rated healers from previous seasons in my brackets. If you only gain 14 rating on 4/2 or 5/1 wins, yet you lose 70+ rating for going 1/5 or 2/4, it’s really easy to fall backwards 300 points in an evening. I’m seeing streamers dealing with this daily. Not everybody plays dps.
I also didn’t mean on this toon but my Ret Pally. Thought I was logged on Scrubcleaver. This ones had a rougher time than most.
I’m sorry I just straight up don’t believe you. 2400 last season felt the same as 2400 this season for me. I don’t believe there’s a legitimate obsidian glad mount owner that is stuck at 1600. Even on an alt. Even people that played with fistweaver and or Aug that just simply is not happening.
I don’t know how to say this without people pinning ego to it but even on characters I’ve never played before 1800 in shuffle was so mindlessly easy it was actually boring because I didn’t even have anything more than a basic understanding of my buttons and I already had the set.
If someone is stuck at 1600 in shuffle it’s not inflation it’s a massive lack of knowledge on the game and an inability to perform basic mechanics. If a person is stuck there on last seasons glad mount they paid for it. If they didn’t pay for it that’s a fresh alt and it’s their first or second lobby
the shuffle mmr system is trash. its very ironic, i come into this thread and see people talking about how hard it is to climb; the game just decided to give me 2200 mmr for afking all season. the highest ive been on this lock is sub 2200 im pretty sure. i have higher MMR now than i would have if i had actively participated in the season lol (im bad). cr/mmr system needs total rework.
What’s a neckbeard?
Is this one: Amatox

I already choke on my lack of skill.
Its time to hit 2400 today for your sword.
Que shuffle
Here i’ll que bm 0-2400 today lets do it
Why defeat yourself like that?
Please don’t embarrass me.
Honestly, it was just deflating being one win away in a lobby then go 3-3 to the ensuing tank job. I get that’s the way things are in RSS. I think it was a gut punch to me. It’s not a good attitude to have I submit.
Were doing it together lets go, we’ll try to get in each others lobbies
you’re not missing out. all the duelist brackets are filled with r1s anyways. been that way for at least 10-12 weeks. shuffle healing really put a bad taste in people’s mouth then you have radio silence from blizz so lotta people quit.
but hey, 7m subs!

Won’t be on until later. Drink a Rio Punch for me!
< Not R1. I don’t even notice DRs.
Grandpopjim, you are one of the last bastions of hope and motivation on these boards.
Do NOT succumb to the darkness! Rage, rage against the dying of the light!
You do realize that not everyone is built the same? Wow is just like literally anything else. Some people regardless of how much coaching/playing they do will never be as good as X other person. When some low six figures amount of players pvp and 2k probably 500 of those alts get 2400 a very large percentage don’t have the ability to be that good. If you quit your job and played wow full time you’d never be petkick, if I quit my job and played wow full time I’d never be wizk. The only realistic discussion on the matter is what percentage of players should be getting 2400 to keep pvp active. If you think it’s fine where it’s at than fair but something’s missing because pvp is dead.
Uh, maybe to an extent.
I feel like most people just need to have things explained in a way that’s kind of tailored to them.
