Lightning Shield Overcharge is amazing, it’s really the best option for the first talent row, BUT it was nerfed (they removed the maelstrom generation). So, there are many moments in pve and pvp (where you can’t connect to your target, you have no maelstrom to use your abilities with no procs, maelstrom, ect. that benefit from Overcharge, or you have to play defensively for an extensive amount of time) creating a bit of downtime; and all whilst your Lightning Shield is Overcharged, and it’s just a waste! This is due to removing maelstrom generation to compensate (after that nerf awhile ago) for that downtime. My suggestion: The Overcharge needs to be a ability which we can activate once Lightning Shield reaches 20 charges. So, once it’s at 20 charges the ability glows/has neat thumbnail, whatever, letting us know it’s ready to be overcharged for the next, let’s say, 20-25 seconds (duration allowing us to activate Overcharge), and you cannot benefit from the damage it deals to melee attackers (imo it should proc/deal from ANY attack physical or magic in its current state, or its future state, dealing damage to melee and/or generate maelstrom and/or mana from magic damage) or generate further stacks during this time (maybe you can, I wouldn’t complain xd) and if not used the charges just reset. Let me know what you guys think!
