I’m an Enhancement Shaman, and when I got my 8th piece of Fearstalkers Ebony armor from the Venthyr covenant, it turned off my lightning shield. Removing a piece of Fearstalkers armor and going back to only 7 pieces will turn lightning shield back on.

Having the same issue. One thing I noticed is that the duration of the buff seems to keep up despite it looking like it’s going in and out.

Same problem. Some combat abilities make the buff re-appear for a few moments, then disappear again. Asked a guildy and they see my buff disappearing/reappearing.
Edit: testing more, appears the revendreth armor set bonus is breaking lightning shield.
Edit 2 : 8 PIECE SET BONUS effect is what’s doing it on Revendreth renown set.
Chiming in to say i am also having this issue.
Same issue here. Venthyr 8 peice bonus is kicking my lightnight shield off. Sometimes it will come back then bug out. Eventually it will just fall off and be gone.
Any news on this?
I found another side effect of this bug. When trying to do the world quest “A Few Bumps Along the Way” in Maldraxxus it keeps resetting the progress indicators for the control points.
I’ve made a bug report for this, Ive had the same issue. Didn’t realize it was tied to my Venthyr set. Real shame, hopefully this issue is fixed soon. This has been bugging me for a while (no pun intended).
Oddly enough when i speced eath shield, that sticks around, but still not lightning shield, zandalari troll racial buff, and darkmoon trinket draw tracking buff. Windfury, and Flametongue weapon also stays on, as well as their animations.
Same here, taking off that 8th piece disables the bug…
