Lightning Lasso spell (shamans)

Hey guys,

I’ve noticed that sometimes when i cast the channeling spell called Lightning Lasso, it casts partially only.

Does anyone know why this is the case?

I am referring to pvp situations only.

You’re probably encountering Diminish Returns.
A player can only be stunned so many times within a short duration.
So you stun me for 5 seconds, then stun me right after for 5 seconds, but this time it’ll actually only stun me for 4. Then if you do it again, 3 seconds. Etc.

DRs are applied via CC Type, not spell.
So if I stun someone with Hammer of Justice then you Lasso right after, your lasso will be reduced because they’re both Stuns.

Alternatively someone could just simply be using a stun removal tool, such as Insignia PVP Trinket, or a personal defensive like Icebound Fortitude for DKs. Since Lasso is a channeled stun, it would be interrupted.

Loses duration on damage taken, I believe. So if you’re getting pelted it goes from lasting a few seconds to zero.

Lightning Lasso is never as effective if you are not singing Devo’s Whip It.
