What is up with game developer aversion to lightning abilities? It’s always fire & ice copy pasta.
Evoker needs some lightning abilities as they are supposed to have abilities from multiple dragonflights.
Shaman can’t have all the fun.

Time, Arcane, LifeFire, Earth, Dream/Nature: Thats us and our Dragonflight heritage. Our big bads, Razagath and their homies, get to ride the lightning.

Awww So we never got a lightning. I thought that fell under Kalecgos’ abilities?
He’s the blue dragon aspect, who mostly use arcane (some use frost).
I would imagine using anything truly elemental would be heretical at this point in time 
I would just love if earth magic was more represented in our skill sets. It’s fully in our bulwark and only shaman really touches on it.
Lightning tends to be a bronze aspect power, although that’s kind of old school and nowadays the devs tends to give them superheated sand breath attacks.

It would have been interesting if they let us picked an elemental elite spec and introduce a new way to play classes, but then again this is Blizzard we are talking about. The team isn’t that bright lol

nah, elemental shaman may have shock, but it also has ample frost, fire and non-shock nature too. i’m talking about pure shock
Lightning is not a draconic magic element of the aspects dragon flights.
Fire is red
Frost/arcane is Blue
Nature/poison/dream magic is Green
Time is Bronce
Earth/fire/magma is Black
Also, if a tipe damage of the evoker say “magic” or “spell” is mixet whit arcane, Azure Strike for example is spellfrost, arcane+frost.
Ther is no lightning in de aspects flights an the Dracthyr were created with the magical essence of the dragons of those flights, and de Evoker class is base on mastery that essences.
So, no lightning.
Yeah… well there’s a lot of classes that use fire, frost, and arcane, but only one that uses lightning for any real purpose.
Druids used to have a storm with a glyph to turn it arcane as well.
It’s really weird how much Evoker lacks abilities from the Black Dragonflight, kind of a let down tbh.
Should have more lava offensive spells.
Deep Breath, Obsidian Scale, Landslaid and Opressing roar, are black dragon base abilities
