I would simply not try to eat them both at the same time
oh yeah, I would also like the option to chose the basic nomenclature of your race (human, dwarf, draenei, elf)
It kinda takes me out when you’re doing chromie time and you get referred as a “Void Elf” when they didn’t even exist lmao.
I’ve suggested it before, but I feel like genuinely pitch-black, or like onyx-black skin colors would be an awesome option, and really compliment the yellow eyes and golden themes.
I want to see more vivid colours
There is a vivid green which is nice, but apart from that it’s pale, pale, pale, yellow, dark yellow
I’d hope to see vivid blue’s, teals and purples & pinks as far as skin tones- someone suggested onyx & I’d love to see that- and darker shades like dark teal, dark blue, etc that would also compliment the yellow eyes
Also, as far as regular draenei- give them more jewelry customization such as earrings, horn jewelry, necklaces etc
And share some lightforged hairs with them possibly- like the Vogue ponytail on female lightforged looks amazing & would love to see it on regular draenei & some of the horn types as well
The krokul/broken from legion are just draenei with different faces/tails. Give those tails/faces as options for regular draenei so we can live our Nobundo dream.
Old thread, but: I’ve been replying to quite a few of these. Anyway: for Exodar draenei, more horn options, more hairstyles (especially curly ones; and, to be honest, every race should have access to the dwarven Braided and Shieldmaiden styles, the Zandalari Arcanital, and the Lightforged Pixie; but I digress), please fix that janky ponytail, give us earrings, make the girls’ faces more distinct from one another again and give them access to that cobalt skin tone, and give the boys back that one naïve baby face option.
For Lightforged: more horn options, more hair colors, and more skin tones, really. (They’re not alone in this regard; but, for one, they don’t have any death-knight-specific options.)
Yikes, bit of a necro – but a fair one given the theme & purpose of the thread.
Honestly this feels like the whole game in general.
- Shadowlands seemed to retcon away the eternal, the mystical and the spiritual – Replacing it with robotic, synthetic, entropic, 3D printed themes.
- A lot of magical, mystical and miraculous vibes are being washed away as some elaborate science – The game has always had aspects of sci-fi in it, but now it seems the sci-fi aspect is completely replacing the ‘fantasy’ side, piece by piece.
- Many people rage for their customisations to be that of the similar race, essentially washing away what makes them different (The worst of this is seen on Void Elves, by the High Elf crowd trying to make them into something they’re not).
Honestly that sounds like a phenomenal idea.
Even if they were to say that there’s different aspects of the light that the lightforged do not access due to it being seen as ‘tainted’ by their departed Naaru (Xe’ra) and thus the access to such aspects of that light were cut off from them would be intriguing.
The above idea would also provide some normal Draenei paladins a bit of validation & importance from Lightforged Draenei.
Another good feature you could dive into is their crystal mastery.
– You could probably have their people ‘experiment’ with the ancient crystals from Argus, Draenor (Outland) crystals and Azerite for an explosion to incur and have them grow crystals amongst their bodies, yet in a harmonious way, and feel more enlightened – Then be able to apply that to Draenei who are willing to receive the ‘Enhancement’ of sorts.
The troll options thread was older (as in, hadn’t updated in a year). I was still tempted to reply to the troll options thread, because need I even start on the limited number of faces? That said: giving Exodar draenei access to crystal jewelry (or, hell, crystal augmentations such as prosthetic horns) which are not available to Lightforged is a great idea.
But, that said: while I didn’t even like Shadowlands much (the regimented progression is annoying, as is the limited access to flight in zones with gaping holes in the world)? I disagree that Spelljammer-style magitek equals “replacing” or “washing away” fantasy in favor of “sci-fi.” (Zereth Mortis is an edge case.)
Did. Got a few people thanking me, and one threat of getting reported for necromancy. Anyway: separated hair and crests for the guys would be great, although I think that might cause some clipping in some cases.
I personally love LF - the lore and unlock quest line made me fall in love with them to the point that it is my main now! So, I would love to see more options!
Most folk will be thankful for these kinds of threads coming back. The threat of necromancy is a minor one. The forum moderators last I asked said a thread like this isn’t really necroed unless a new one has taken its place since.
Saw you telling the “I’m gonna squeal!” user as much in the troll thread. Again: thank you.
Since I don’t want to completely rebuild my priest and my death knight, I’m thinking of race-changing them both to Lightforged. I can rationalize the death knight going through the ritual for reasons of her own; and, because I did the unlock on the priest, it’s arguable that he already did.
I would really like to see some love for Draenei males. Why can’t we separate the hairstyles from the hornstyles like the females? I would also want the tail decorations for my male draenei too. I would to see Draenei males get skinnier too like Velen.
I think the female Draenei are doing pretty well, they always get the nicer hair over the Night Elves. My only suggestion would be I would like to see more hoof customisations, and decorations for the hooves since most footwear don’t cover them and we look at them all the time.
As far as I’m concerned: neutral races, void elves, and four different frame sizes for dracthyr nuked the “silhouette recognition” argument. Every race should have multiple physique/frame-size options. In my personal fanon: my female draenei mage is “scrawny and undersized,” my male draenei monk is lanky, my male Lightforged priest is pudgy, and my female troll druid is…well, a Revantusk; it’d be great if they could actually look like that in game.
Hoping I’ve got the right thread, this was the most recent I could find, if there is a newer one I’m sorry.
Love this set of suggestions, especially the remodel at the top but I know that is the least likely to happen (unless they expand body type options). Separating hair and horns would be the most important thing on there IMO. The idea of eyebrows matching hair colour would be a nice change too.
Now, to add my own suggestions:
While other customization should stay unique to each group that hair and horn options should probably be shared by both regular and Lightforged Draenei simply to expand the pool of possible looks.
For regular Draenei a proper dark black hair option as the current one is just really dark green. Also I like the blue hair options we have but a darker one (not quite full black but heading that way) would make a nice addition.
For both types of Draenei: I like that you can now choose the colour of the jewelry on the tail and tentacles, but I’d love if their were also an option to have them simply unadorned.
Additionally for Body 1 Draenei of both races; instead of having to pick certain combos of tentacles I’d love to see inner and outer selected separately. Since inner would include the solo tentacle option you could combine it with and outer set and get a three tentacle Draenei which would again be an interesting new look.
Continuing on tentacles: since the Body 1 can choose to have no tentacles I’d like to see that option expanded to Body 2 instead of just the toggle between thick and thin ones. They could also get an option to just have just one on each side.
Also, one last thing: fix the “Full” beard on Lightforged Draenei.
I can’t post an image on this character but you should be able to retype this manually:

The first problem is the two cracks/gaps in the hair on the right side of the face. Left looks fine when you turn the other way. Looks messy to have these gaps.
Second problem is that the ‘beard’ looks like a stick on paper one if you see it from certain angles. No idea why it isn’t a proper one! (and as I type this I’ve just seen the same issue on “Fine” and “Noble” too. I just noticed it on full first 'cos that’s my fav option.)
(EDIT to add another additional suggestion RE tentacles)
