Lightforged Customization!

Just asking for more. Maybe some of the Draenei hair styles, colors, skin colors? I know we got the thalassian elf discourse but, it feels worth pointing to as a means to let LF have sommore to look at ^^;;

Lightforged need a lot more than a few hair styles (the ones they have are already better than normal draenei).

Draenei got access to yellow/gold eyes and very white skin. You can now make a normal draenei that looks very much like a Lightforged.

Really all the Lightforged have to set them apart now is their tattoos and those are typically covered by armor. As much as I love Lightforged they’re a prime example of an allied race that should just be a barber shop option.

Also we don’t have the Shaman class yet. Hopefully we will soon have Shamans and Lightforged-themed totems.

I have some Lightforged that I put in rather skimpy armour of exactly this reason, those magical tattoos need to be shown. Old classics like the Jade Set work perfectly for this purpose. But it becomes harder for anything leather and the mail options could be better.

When it come to the Jade set, it looks so skimpy that it really should be dumped on the Trading post in various recolours as an “everyone can wear” option. They have already done this to the just as skimpy Shifting Sands dresses. So, there is precedence for this. This will of course upset those that sell these on AH for insane prices. I had hunted down those dresses with a lot of work for them to suddenly appear on the Trading Post but at least those are no longer cloth only. There are however some minor graphical differences between them.

After all this time I still can’t believe the Summon Anvil doesn’t also work as a Forge.

Just as the Void Elves need more void customization, the LF Draenei need more lightforged customization.

Lore wise the Lightforged Draenei is NOT a race, they are Draenei that has gone through a joining process to become Lightforged. And Draenei shamans are still associated with the Light in that they still have the “gift of Naruu” ability. Being a shaman means making deals with the spirit, they can still be followers of the Light when it comes to religion. As such, a Lightforged shaman should work just fine, especially considering some other options the Lightforged have.

Considering these things, it could be cool if we introduced another Eredar offshoot in the form of non-corrupted but still not light infused original Eredar. Suggestibly these could have been left behind on an early colony world that was evacuated. They survived by the Burning Legion giving chase and missed that there were some people left behind. Perhaps they would refuse to touch anything that could possibly attract the Burning Legion so no Mages or Warlocks, but they could have druids.

The Lightforged should be as changed by The Light as Man’ari Eredar are by Fel.

•Variable eye-glow intensity
•Glowing/Cracked with Light hands
•Glowing hooves (with optional luminous hoofprint trail)
•Vistigial wings (not angel wings, but crystalline geometric protrusions reminiscent of Naaru)
• Floating/Disarticulated crystaline horns.
•Metalic/Shiny skintones of gold, silver.

I recently had a rather odd experience in Remix Pandaria fighting that huge outdoor Sha manifestation. Got mind controlled and summoned an anvil. Of all available abilities an anvil summoning was probably the least harmful thing a mind controlled Lightforged could do.

Just think about dropping a 200 pound hunk of metal as a weapon on the enemy’s head.

They can have void tentacles on the back as an option. Maybe have void energies sort of ooze of them for instance? And perhaps a constant but small chance of a void portal opening beside them. A small portal where tiny, transparant voidwalkers scurry out and disappear again. Other times a tentacle reach out of the portal. Theses would be pure graphical effects and only last a second at the most. This could happen automatically for voidelves that use shadow/void abilities. These mean warlocks, and shadowpriests mostly but other priest could have it happen when they occasionally use a shadow spell. For extra creepiness this could also happen to a rogue in stealth.

I refuse to play a character with more than 40% skin coverage by armor

If nothing else work, nothing but a tabard…

Tabards are great transmog accessories now that we can hide pants.

lightforged was one of many goofy allied “race” additions. Should have just been a customization option unlocked by a short in game quest chain (like many of the other “races” that have been added) that you could then play with in the barber chair and character creation screen.

They should get new customizations, not recycled ones, as should every current allied race. Copying stuff from the parent race goes against the purpose of making them separate races, to begin with.

If we end the constant Horde vs Alliance wars, we could introduce neutral powers. All out wars would be a thing of the past but local conflicts could exist. By deliberately overlooking these we could still have the battlegrounds and there could be battlegrounds that are not Horde vs Alliance related. They COULD have done this with the Alliance vs Scryers organisations but nope, as long as you do not trespass into their base in Shattrah there is no actual fighting between them. They later made peace with each other and cooperated to liberate Quel’Danas. And we also have Timewalking for those that want to enjoy the full-fledged wars.

That out of the ways we could form new racial homelands. Do not worry, visitors and immigrants ae still welcome as long as they respect the local culture. There has been nightelves living in Stormwind since Vanilla as well as gnomes and dwarves but Stormvind was still a human city. So, we could dissolve the Horde and the Alliance and form new Empires. Geographically these can be spread out. So, elves, trolls, humans, dwarves and so on have their own empires. Exceptions would be for races that culturally do not build empires of their own but prefer to fit in with others so a Vulpera Empire are unlikely, but they could have outposts EVERYWHERE.

Is what i think lfd needs. Via body model type 3/4/etc.

Hey if it’s more likely a means for me to have uhhh hmm… checks notes … ah, black hair, then hecc it, gimme the recycles!

Hey there are some racial attack spells. This could be one.
