Lightfoged/Fel Corruption Lore question

From what I understand the orcs aren’t just green from fel corruption, but from properties of the demon’s blood. This also has an impact on demon hunters. Fel orcs and fel elves are fel corrupted but didn’t drink demon blood.

So is the substance fel distinct from the magic fel?

Can a planet be light forged?

Also if Illidan were to have been lightforged, could he then be fel recorrupted?

No, no, it’s the other way around.

Most Orcs never drank the Blood. But those who did started emitting Fel Magic non-stop. That’s what changed the others.

The Chronicle books explain this better than I ever could lol

Fel Orcs do drink the Blood.

There’s no substance Fel. Fel means “Chaos Magic”. All Fel is magic.

You can have substances infused with Fel.

So the fel orcs and fel elves we find in the Burning Crusade Expansion drank demon blood? I thought that the fel orcs were never part of the Horde and were corrupted with the land and the fel elves tapped into fel for the extra power rather than draining living things.

The Fel Orcs were infused with the Blood of Magtheridon in Hellfire Citadel (Outlands).

“it is here that Illidan’s fel orcs take the blood of Magtheridon and use it to create more fel orcs, much as the blood of Mannoroth was used to corrupt the original Horde.”

Felblood Elves got their fel empowerment by draining Fel Crystals.

Contrary to popular belief, Blood Elves aren’t really into drinking blood lol

The Fel Orcs were part of the Old Horde.

They were those who didn’t cross the Dark Portal to go to Azeroth on WC1.

A big chunk of the old Horde was left behind on Draenor lol

I’ve been in the High Elf threads, I’m painfully over aware.

…Which actually brings me to another question. Maybe a statement because I’m not sure what they question is. The Sunwell ‘change’ in magic types.

The Sunwell was originally a font of pure Arcane power.

At the end of the Sunwell Raid, Velen reignites the Sunwell with the heart of a dead Naaru. Now it irradiates both Arcane and Holy magic.

But inbetween was it extinguished or making death energy and wasn’t it fel’d up and used as a portal or something? I’m going to start saying fel’d up.

Is it like a battery or does it create/portalto that magic energy?

The Light doesn’t corrupt, bless to every being that is touched by his grace.

We’ve landed on ‘change’ as a generic term. Exept for fel corruption, that’s fel’d up now. You’re late to the semantics party.

The Scourge befouled it with Necromancy. Afterwards, Kael’thas destroyed it.

Then Kil’jaeden’s followers reignited it to power his portal, but I don’t think they changed it in nature.

The original Sunwell was created by dropping a vial of the Well of Eternity into a regular lake.

It was just water mixed with a little bit of Titan blood. As we’ve seen with this whole Azerite nonsense, Titan blood is a potent source of Arcane Magic.

But magic is energy, and energy can be converted.

Pretty much everything can be corrupted by anything it’s not native to.

Think of Arcane constructs like the Titan forged Earthen. The Void used Nature to corrupt them with the curse of flesh. They’re natural now as Dwarves, and that works for the Void because the Void has a much easier time corrupting life than non-life.

Anything native to one cosmic domain can be corrupted by any other cosmic domain.

Are those the defined rules? No. But if you look at examples from across the in game universe it’s pretty much a fact of existence.

So was it producing Death magic?
Was this just done to weaken the elves?

Yes. If Kael’thas hadn’t destroyed the Sunwell, all the Helves and Belves and future Velves would have died.

Arthas had already killed 90% of the Helf population. He had no need to weaken the Elves any further.

He used the Sunwell to transform Kel’thuzad into a Lich. That action infused the Sunwell with Necromancy. Arthas saw no reason to change back, but the objective was to raise Kel’thuzad, not to do anything to the Elves. He killed them because they were in the way.

I reply what i read, and i reply well.

I was just catching you up.

Light bless you

Get fel’d :guitar:
