Light, Void & Arcane Interdimensional

Hello everyone,

Considering that creation came from light and Void & it created the universe, would it be safe to say that these two cosmic forces are from some of on a dimension that transcends far from reality?

Would you say the same for Arcane or is Arcane that declares the universe and realism/time as it is? Following the Titan’s establishment of order and pro-create

I’ve read little bit of WoW’s lore and it catches my curiosity the concept of light & dark

Far as I’ve been able to figure, Light and Void were the initially distinct forces of existence (Chronicle implies Light came first, but really “first” is a rather fuzzy concept when technically the universe - and therefore time - didn’t exist yet.)

A collision between these two forces created the universe, which exists as the Great Dark and the Twisting Nether in tandem. It seems like the Great Dark is the state of that collision causing Light and Void to approach balanced equilibrium and build each other up (i.e. arcane Order), while the Twisting Nether is the state of the collision causing Light and Void to violently reject each other and break each other down (i.e. fel Disorder.)

Though the rate of its passage is erratic and unpredictable within the Disorder of the Nether while consistent in the Great Dark, the “forward” procession of Time is a constant in both realms - arguably the only truly constant “law” between them - because through all creation the collision of Light and Void is a static point of beginning from which all else, Ordered and Disordered alike, has since progressed.

Similarly, often concepts of distance seem to be as erratic and flexible in the Nether as the passage of Time; traveling across vast distances in the Great Dark is portrayed as a lengthy endeavor akin to RL interstellar travel, while travel between worlds across the Nether is far less rigidly defined by the actual physical distance between them. Hence Sargeras’ and the Legion’s need for a massive portal to reach Azeroth; such a portal allows comparatively swift access from Argus or various other Legion worlds while traveling there physically from the nearest known planet in the Great Dark could take untold eons. Conversely, within the Nether itself there seems to be nothing really preventing the Legion from creating vast networks of sustained portals between their conquered worlds.

Additionally, worlds in the Great Dark selectively produce singular, immensely powerful arcane titans who band together toward a common purpose of creating more Order, while worlds within the Twisting Nether produce vast hosts fel demons who constantly fight each other as much as they respectively strive to spread Disorder.

We know “the Void” exists as a realm apart from physical reality, but it’s not clear whether the Light has a similar detached plane of existence, or if it’s such a fundamental inverse of Void that it doesn’t have any such detached realm. It’s also not clear if “the Void” always existed apart, or if that’s somehow a symptom of its relative position in the universe-creating struggle between it and the Light.

Here are my thoughts on the matter.

I guess that depends on what you define “transcend reality” as? I think blizz use that to defined demon because it sound cool, make them mysterious, and unexplainable.

In the chronicle it describes the universe as something like having countless(I think) planes with shade of light and void. And reality is just one of the plane. When you look at it like that the light and the void are the majority of the universe. And reality is just tiny speck of it.

The way I understand arcane is it’s a magic that have no effect on the balance and cycle of the universe. Light and void. Life and death. It’s a non-affinity magic.

Light can purify the void. The void can corrupt the light.

Life and death is a nature cycle. In a true natural cycle there are no magic involved. So, just like in real life that you learn in school, the food chain. The life and death magic can unbalanced the chain or even stopping it completely.

Arcane has no effect on those balance. It is as a sword. It is as a fire. It is as a gun. It is as a bomb. It’s a tool in magic form.
