Lifebloom - Change to TBC Version

Dear Blizzard,

Please change the druid rune/spell Lifebloom to be the TBC version that has a very low mana cost and does not refund mana, rather than the WotLK version that refunds mana. The WotLK/current version is terrible and useless.

The TBC version was 100% more fun, rolling lifeblooms on active tanks gave druid healers a unique part to play in a raid setting - capable of putting out formidable and very efficient healing output on multiple active tanks.

No! This is season of discovery and you effectively DISCOVERED that the lifebloom
rune is the TBC variety and not the wrath variant. Congratulations you beat SOD

The lifebloom rune has been so disappointing. I don’t see it ever being any good, even at 60 with lots of endgame resto gear.

no shot, TBC lifebloom is overpowered and it makes druid less fun. PVE druid healing in TBC was the worst iteration, just rolling lifeblooms is cancerous and unfun. vanilla healing was legit better because it required rubbing more than two brain cells together.

they could still probably buff lifebloom but do NOT give us the unfun TBC version, nerf it a bit so it’s not the only spell to use

To the contrary, TBC lifebloom made resto druid instrumental any time 2-3 tanks a distance apart were taking heavy and unpredictable damage (for example Muru or Eredar Twins, or Brutallus if you count the burn victims). As a resto druid in these fights you felt not like a worse version of a priest or a budget shaman with no lust - but like a critical part of the raid. This is what made TBC healer class design so good - every healer was exceptional at a specific thing (shamans for melee/tanks, CoH priest for raid, druid for multi-tank fight). Except for holy paladin… they were just a buff bot…

After the 3rd stack of lifebloom you have to be willing to throw mana into the trashcan and refresh it. It only works with one of the resto talents.

I liked WotLK Lifebloom. Coordinating it with OOC procs for free mana was a fun mechanic.

No shot :nerd_face: dont forget to like and subscribe

They need to lower the cost of lifebloom and give a reason to refresh stacks, otherwise it’s use in PvE will be a spot heal only.

It was a fun main heal, perhaps another way to refresh the hot besides wasting a crap ton of mana.

Since vanilla omen is melee only, they should add to the lifebloom rune and say that LB healing has a chance to proc clearcasting.

I don’t think lifebloom is interesting to use without the procs to play around. Even the single target modern version of lifebloom is tied to clearcasting procs.

They have to vanilla-ify it somehow.

Living seed is pretty bad until level 40, and even then regrowth costs way too much mana.

Lifebloom shares nothing with rejuv, healing touch, regrowth, etc in the talent tree.
It would be cool if when it bloomed it got the crit chance from regrowth talent, it would make a pretty large living seed. (but a 7-21 second shield.) Not amazing, but still it should share some increases from more of the talents.

or maybe even all, 10% less mana cost, 15% more healing, 50% more crit when it blooms. And still it would not be that amazing…

Right now druid healing is just pressing wild growth and regening mana.

Would be nice if we got the good version of lifebloom.

I got excited seeing Starsurge buffs and then disappointed when I saw that lifebloom was left untouched

Actually really excited about living seed/ regrowth at 60, the regrowth hot has a really long duration. Chinese meta in tbc was a regrowth/natures swiftness build with set bonuses for 0.1s off the cast time and added hot duration. With that build and a 27 sec duration regrowth hot was ticking on half the raid and you could basically swiftmend anyone on demand. The hps was big, only thing is the build was a mana hog since no tree form

Could easily down rank regrowth some and use it as a flash heal, and swiftmend when ohsheesh moments happen. Probably overhealing with max rank regrowth anyways.

Healing touch is very useful too tho, very efficient and heals by a lot.
Having 2 buttons rotation as healer is actually the avg rotation in Vanilla.
