Life after Joyous Journey

Hello! I am LOVING the JJ buff. The community is teeming with life since the buff has been gone live. LFG channel is filled with tons of groups for low levels. This buff has given the game much needed CPR!

However, with everything fun and awesome comes sadness and despair.
June 19 will mark the end of the JJ buff. This will translate to slow monotonous leveling. I propose an idea since we will be halfway through the expansion.

This idea is a buff from 1-60. It would help entice leveling for lower levels and speed the process up. After 60, the buff would disappear and normal leveling would result.

The buff could be called, “Hero’s Learning”.
It would essentially be Joyous journeys but would conclude at level 60.

Please consider it.

Tell me what the community thinks?
Any other names for buff?

Just get to 60+ before JJ ends, this way you’ll still be able to level during AV weekend, which is fast even without any xp buffs.

That is my plan. I want to get another toon to 58 asap. Working on a pally now.

Imo small and medium servers should always have that buff up to help people go on those servers rather than just adding more people to the full servers.

People are just making use of the limited time its active. 50% increase or more with heirlooms is what is drawing people to get alts leveled.

You are 3 weeks early with post please dont make another one in 3 weeks jj is around for a month time to man up and accept that blizzard probably wont keep it on.

I was lvling herbing and to me on pagle the zones were still dead in old world and tbc zones.

Imagine you are eating some cake… and after just a few bites you started to cry because there was only a half of piece left… That’s what this post is all about…

:rofl::sob::rofl:

No, JJ works to draw a crowd because of the scarcity.

If you had a permanent xp buff instead, zones would actually not be as populated.

The only way to experience an active 'old world ’ is to play Classic Era.

Make a perma 20% buff (and still raise to 50% for pre-phase month).

The dropoff when JJ ends is huge–feels crappy.

Was JJ added only to wrath and not era?

it is trash leveling from 61-70. much as i hate to say it. its less xp per win and the games on AV weekend are full of full brutal twinked 70 premades purposefully causing turtles. If 70s were moved up to the 71-79 bracket where they belong, then it would be very efficient leveling, but for now, id avoid 61-70 AV entirely. The goal should be to get to 71 and use it for 71-80 where everybody has access to the brutal gear, so the games aren’t greifed so easily.

No one is crying? It is meanly a suggestion.
If you think a constructive post is " crying" you are close minded.

Do you think this would still be true even with JJ on all the time?

I have a better idea - rework the old zones so they are more fun to go through… Oh… wait… That happened?

The next AV will be so toxic…

The crying, whining and players reporting others for doing a bit of pvp

It works. Ride out all CTA’s. Not just av. The others besides AV are less xp…but xp none the less.

Even SOTA as bad as it , to many peoples feelings lol, is actually decent XP in CTA. I got a few levels there to offset time in CTA AV on a SOTA CTA weekend prior.

Yes. By and large people playing on era realms really do not want something like JJ and I can’t really imagine them ever giving era that kind of treatment outside of the fact that they have done SoM servers which included a leveling speed increase. If they continue to iterate on the SoM concept you can expect to see increased leveling speed there.

I don’t really understand why this is the case. If you don’t enjoy leveling, then why not just play your max-level character or characters?

If you do enjoy leveling, then sure it’s nice that the limited time aspect of JJ encourages people to level at the same time, and brings activity into the world, but…

If there’s a permanent buff from 1-60, or 1-80 for that matter, then there’s effectively no difference from having no buff, except now you’re just trivializing the content even further to the combination of nerfs to old world content, and buffs to XP, and character power that each expansion already brings.

Imo, JJ is fine the way it is, especially because it’s temporary. It sure seems to breathe live into the leveling scene around the times when there’s a lull at the end of the phase.

Makes sense. When i leveled in the 61-70 AV bracket things were a little different, it was the launch of wotlk and lots of people still gearing.

I love the 79 bracket so much that I keep this Priest and all my alts at 78-79 indefinitely. Especially fun in WSG & AB.
