Welding average across america is 33k a year (I am a certified welder)
Trucking average is about 40k
50k for hvac
Journeymen plumber is around 50k and it takes quite some time before you hit journeymen status
These aren’t high paying jobs bro. Sure they are better than entry level for sure, but that’s not that far from the poverty level in most states all honesty.

The fact that internet companies dont truly compete and have made it very difficult for other isp to enter any given market. The fact that they were given money to expand better service of internet into more rural areas, while those same areas actually have pretty terrible internet alone. The fact we pay sometimes 3 times as much for a fraction of internet speeds that other first world nations get for their internet.

Most local positions for truck drivers are paying $20/hr+ in the Midwest. Most have benefits. Most offer oodles of overtime.
Our drivers make upwards of $1,400 a week, home daily. We aren’t even paying top-tier pay. Please stop.

That’s just any kind of trucking though. Trucking for companies such as Walmart pay on average 78k. It’s like this for the other things you mentioned as well. Such as welding is actually averaged at 40k and it increased by a good bit depending how long you work in that industry.
